Women's menstrual blood can detoxify arrow poison and treat "female labor relapse" (recorded by famous physicians). [Treatment] [Chen Zangqi stated] Menstrual blood-stained garments are indicated for treating bleeding from metal wounds (Jin Chuang, injuries caused by sharp metal objects); take the garment, heat it, and apply it as a hot compress to the wound. Alternatively, burn it to ash and apply to sores caused by tiger or wild wolf bites. [Benlu states] Burn the red-stained menstrual garments of women to ash, mix with cooked water, and administer one Fangcunbi (a traditional Chinese volume measure) orally. This treats men whose febrile diseases have resolved but relapse due to sexual intercourse, resulting in sudden retraction of the testicles into the abdomen, severe colic pain threatening life; this method is immediately effective. ○ Menstrual blood can treat poisoning from bone splinters penetrating the skin after being skinned by a horse, causing extreme suffering; applying it to the wound yields immediate results. ○ Mix women's menstrual garments with blood, burn to ash, mix with water, and administer one Fangcunbi orally to treat Yin-Yang Yi disease (Yin-Yang Exchange disease). [Combined Treatment] Burn the menstrual garments of an unmarried girl with blood to ash, mix with wine, and administer one Fangcunbi orally to treat severe Huoluan (Cholera-like syndrome), leading to immediate recovery. ○ Burn women's menstrual garments to ash, mix with wine, and administer one Fangcunbi orally to treat Ju Xue (Blood Accumulation) combined with arrowheads lodged in the chest or throat; this is effective. [Explanation] Menstrual blood, like fecal juice, can antidote the poison used by the Yi people of Jiaozhou. They use copper charcoal to make arrowheads, coating the tips with poison; upon striking a person, it causes rapid boiling and ulceration of the flesh, leading to bone necrosis within moments; this method is effective.
Huan (pronounced Kun) juice can detoxify arrow poison and treat female labor relapse, and is also beneficial. The ancient kingdom of Funan had a unique technique that made blades impervious to cuts; only by smearing menstrual blood on the blade could one cause death. This is because the filth destroys the Shen Qi (Spiritual Energy). Therefore, when preparing medicines, contact with it is taboo. Since this is a substance, it follows the precedent of excrement and urine categories (recorded by famous physicians).
Human semen mixed with hawk droppings can also eliminate scars (recorded by famous physicians). [Treatment] [Liao] [Benlu states] Treat unceasing bleeding from metal wounds by applying semen to the injury. ○ Treat tumors by taking one He or half a He of semen, placing it in a green bamboo tube, roasting it over fire, collecting the juice in a vessel, sealing it, and applying it multiple times; this is good. [Combined Treatment] Mix human semen with white hawk droppings to remove facial nevi (dian); apply for two days until healed. White honey may also be used. Additionally, treat burns and scalds to prevent pain and promote rapid healing.
Nail clippings from pregnant women, ground into fine powder and placed in the eyes, can remove Yi Zhang (ocular opacities/cataracts) (recorded by famous physicians). [Treatment] [Liao] [Tangben Zhu states] Finger nails can induce labor. [Yanyi states] Human nails treat Bi Nu (epistaxis/nosebleed); scrape finely, wait for the bleeding to subside slightly, remove stasis from the nostril, insufflate into the nose, and recovery is immediate. It is not advisable to stockpile them in advance; rather, it is very good to collect them from many people. There are many drugs and methods for treating nosebleeds, some effective and others not, so one must gather widely for use on roads and in fields. [Benlu states] Treat Bao Zhuan (bladder retention/distension caused by holding urine); take one's own nail clippings, burn to ash, mix with water, and ingest. This also treats women's Lin syndrome (dysuria) and hematuria.
