*Sanluo* (Biomphalaria snail): Used for rectal prolapse. Burn it into ash, mix with lard, and apply externally; the prolapse will immediately retract (Recorded by Famous Physicians). [Habitat] *Tu Jing* states: This snail resembles a garden snail completely but is yellow in color.
Toxic. Note: Loach, Sea Eel.
*Mianli* (Anguilla marmorata / Longfin eel): Mainly treats five types of hemorrhoids and kills various parasites (Recorded by Famous Physicians). [Names] Sea eel, Ci eel, Dog fish. [Habitat] *Tu Jing* states: Produced in coastal areas; people consume its flesh and nose, which taste sweet. [Therapeutics] *Tang Ben Cao Zhu* states: Mianli ointment treats pain caused by insects in the ear. *Ri Hua Zi* states: Sea eel treats skin sores, scabies, tinea, and hemorrhoids. The eel kills "Chuan Shi Zhu Qi" (a contagious chronic wasting disease) and sores, and treats women's genital sores and itching caused by worms. *Meng Shen* states: It treats vitiligo (*Bai Bo Feng*) and leukorrhea in women, as well as various diseases related to wind; frequent consumption is very effective. *Yan Yi* states: Cut fresh, dry it, take a small amount, lightly roast over fire until oil exudes, apply to vitiligo lesions, rub with fingers until color changes; repeat 5-7 times for cure. *Bie Lu* states: Dry specimens burned in an empty room turn into water, dissolving mosquitoes, turtles, lice, etc., into water. Mianli fish fat applied to white patches on the neck and face; if spreading like tinea but without ulceration, first cut to make it dry and painful, then apply; cures within 3-5 applications. [Tonification] *Ri Hua Zi* states: Eel treats consumptive fever, tonifies deficiency, warms the waist and knees, and promotes yang function. [Combined Therapies] Boil eel with Wu Wei Mi (Five-Flavor Rice) and eat on an empty stomach to treat damp-wind bi syndrome in the waist and kidneys, feeling as if washed by cold water; this is highly tonifying for patients with damp Hong Kong foot (tinea pedis) and chronic wasting diseases. Prepare one eel according to culinary methods, slice it, grill with pepper, salt, and sauce to treat five types of hemorrhoids and sores. Prepare two catties of eel, cut into segments, cook with two cups of wine, adding a little salt and vinegar, to treat bone-stealing consumptive emaciation and intestinal wind with bleeding; this yields excellent results. [Detoxification] Resolves toxicity from various herbs and foods, and kills gu poison.

Its skin can be used for drum covers. The largest is the Yuan. Some in the river are 1-2 zhang wide. Nature: Sweet, neutral, non-toxic. Removes leukorrhea and accumulations, dispels hundred evils and ghosts. [Assistant] *Shu Qi* acts as its assistant. [Antagonist] Feared by dog gallbladder, *Yuan Hua* (Genkwa Flos), and *Gan Sui* (Kansui Radix). [Preparation] Freshly peel the carapace, roast over fire until yellow for use.
