Effective for hematemesis (vomiting blood) and epistaxis (nosebleed); suitable for wind-intestinal bleeding (blood in stool) and metrorrhagia/metrostaxis (uterine bleeding and leukorrhea).
Hair is considered the surplus of blood. Therefore, it has many functions in treating blood disorders. Place in a jar, seal firmly with salt mud, and calcine to retain its properties.
For hoarseness due to Lung and Kidney Yin deficiency, adding Xue Yu Tan (Carbonized Hair) to appropriate formulas provides significant benefit by invigorating blood and tonifying Yin.
