For counterflow of qi and fever, decoct Bamboo Leaves (*Zhuye*) together with Tangerine Peel (*Chenpi*), take one dose every three days. (Verified Formula No. 1.)
For epidemic jaundice, decoct Bamboo Leaves (*Zhuye*), Wheat (*Xiaomai*), and Gypsum (*Shigao*) in water and take frequently. (No. 2.)

Sweet, cold, non-toxic. Treats pediatric convulsive diseases such as Tian Diao (opisthotonos) and Ke Wu epilepsy (epilepsy caused by external pathogenic factors); treats Wind-Stroke with wind-heat and phlegm obstruction leading to aphonia and muteness. Resolves toxicity from medicinal errors and heat eruptions; also beneficial for improving vision.
Currently, this substance is often found inside various bamboos in the country of Tian Zhu (India). People often fake it by burning bones and Polygonatum Rhizome (*Gefen*) starch; this must be known. Some say it is sand and dust from the South Sea coast condensing inside *Deng Zhu* (a type of extremely large bamboo, also called Tian Zhu), forming a yellow substance that can treat diseases; this explanation is correct. For pediatric convulsive heat, combine with Realgar (*Xionghuang*) and Black Morning Glory Seed (*Heichou*) to make pills, and take down with Mint Decoction (*Bohe Tang*). (Verified Formula No. 1.)
