For postpartum bladder damage, characterized by inability to urinate with continuous dribbling and astringency, take one chi of yellow silk, along with Cortex Moutan (Mudanpi) and Rhizoma Bletillae (Baiji) ground into powder, one qian each. Decoct until the silk disintegrates, then administer the liquid. The patient should avoid making noise during treatment. (Verified Formula 1.)
For metrorrhagia (heavy uterine bleeding), mix ash of yellow silk, ash of palm fruit, ash of Beijing ink, and ash of lotus leaf. Administer mixed with water and wine to stop bleeding immediately. (Formula 2.)

Burning it together with beeswax and fumigating malignant ulcers prevents them from rotting when exposed to water. Rolling mugwort male plants into moxa cones, treating sores: if pus flows, healing occurs. For sores injured by wind-water pathogens, fumigation extracts foul fluids; for coughs due to wind-heat, fumigation causes turbid phlegm to descend.
