乃雄黄之劣者。色黄而臭之。
治恶疮而平疥癣，杀虫虱而熏咳嗽。
三十年嗽，熏黄、莨菪子、木香为末，羊脂涂青纸上，以末铺之，竹筒烧烟而吸之，妙。

咳嗽熏法∶用一两，以蜡调，卷为筒十枚，烧烟，吸烟取吐止，日一次，食白粥。（第
二。）
主治略同。生山阴。色如金者佳，色黑者勿用。与雄黄同产，但色赤黄如金耳。
时鸡子为使，恶莽草、巴豆。出青、徐者为真。
甘，寒，无毒。入手太阴肺、足阳明胃经。清燥渴而除热汗，解狂热而止烦喘，住鼻衄
而除
坠头痛而解肌，息火灼而平痈，疗金疮而通乳，理咽痛而止渴。汗而渴者宜服之。
伤寒发狂，逾垣上屋，同黄连为末，甘草汤下。（验方第一。）
小儿丹毒，水合服。（第二。）
喘嗽热盛，用二两，甘草半两，姜、蜜汤分服。（第三。）
痰热喘嗽，痰涌如泉，为末，参汤下。脉浮洪滑。（第四。）
小儿吐泻色黄，同甘草为末，水下。（第五。）
乳汁不下，水煎频服。（第六。）
油伤火灼，水合敷之。（第七。）
金疮出血，同松香干掺。（第八。）
疮口不敛， 红二两，黄丹半两，为末掺之。（第九。）
刀疮伤湿溃烂，用一两，黄丹二钱为末，洗后敷之，甚者加龙骨、儿茶。（第十。）
白虎汤 知母 石膏 大米 炙草
治汗渴内热，脉滑而厥。（诸方第一。）
小青龙加石膏汤 麻黄 桂枝 白芍 细辛 五味 半夏 甘草 干姜 石膏
治咳而上气，烦躁而喘，又治肺胀脉浮者。（第二。）
This is the inferior variety of Realgar (Xionghuang, 雄黄). It has a yellow color and an offensive odor.
It treats malignant sores and calms scabies and tinea, kills insects and lice, and treats cough via fumigation.
For chronic cough lasting thirty years, grind Xunhuang (Fumigating Yellow), Hyoscyami Semen (Langdangzi, 莨菪子), and Costi Radix (Muxiang, 木香) into powder. Spread the powder on green paper coated with sheep fat, burn it in a bamboo tube, and inhale the smoke; this is miraculous. (Verified Formula No. 1.)
Cough Fumigation Method: Use one liang of [Xunhuang], mix with wax, roll into ten tubes, burn to produce smoke, inhale the smoke until vomiting occurs and stops, once daily, followed by eating white rice porridge. (No. 2.)
The main indications are roughly the same. It grows in Shanyin. The variety resembling gold is superior; do not use the black variety. It is found in the same locations as Realgar, but its color is reddish-yellow like gold.
Egg yolk serves as the guiding herb. It is incompatible with Isodon Herb (Mangcao, 莽草) and Croton Seed (Badou, 巴豆). The variety from Qingzhou and Xuzhou is authentic.
Sweet in taste, cold in nature, non-toxic. Enters the Hand-Taiyin Lung Meridian and the Foot-Yangming Stomach Meridian. Clears dryness and thirst while reducing fever and stopping sweating, resolves severe heat and agitation while calming panting, stops epistaxis and relieves heavy sensation in the head, alleviates headache and releases the muscle layer, extinguishes fire-burning sensations and calms carbuncles, treats traumatic injuries from metal weapons and promotes lactation, regulates sore throat and stops thirst. It is suitable for those who sweat and feel thirsty.
In Cold Damage disease presenting with mania, such as climbing over walls or roofs, grind Gypsum Fibrosum (Shigao, 石膏) together with Coptis Rhizome (Huanglian, 黄连) into powder, and take with Licorice Decoction. (Verified Formula No. 1.)
For infantile erysipelas, mix with water and administer internally. (No. 2.)
For panting and cough with excessive heat, use two liang, combined with half a liang of Licorice Root (Gancao, 甘草), taken in divided doses prepared with ginger juice and honey soup. (No. 3.)
For phlegm-heat causing panting and cough with profuse sputum like a spring, grind into powder and take with Ginseng Decoction. The pulse should be floating, surging, and slippery. (No. 4.)
For infants with vomiting and diarrhea where the discharge is yellow, combine with Licorice Root, grind into powder, and take with water. (No. 5.)
For failure of milk secretion, decoct in water and take frequently. (No. 6.)
For burns from oil or fire, mix with water and apply topically. (No. 7.)
For bleeding from traumatic wounds caused by metal weapons, mix with dry Pine Rosin (Songxiang, 松香) and sprinkle on the wound. (No. 8.)
For non-healing sores, use two liang of Gypsum Fibrosum (Shigao, 石膏) and half a liang of Lead Carbonate (Hongdan, 黄丹), grind into powder, and sprinkle. (No. 9.)
For knife wounds that are damp and ulcerated, use one liang combined with two qian of Lead Carbonate (Hongdan, 黄丹), grind into powder, wash the area, and apply. For severe cases, add Dragon Bone (Longgu, 龙骨) and Child's Tea (Ercha, 儿茶). (No. 10.)
Baihu Tang (White Tiger Decoction): Anemarrhenae Rhizoma (Zhimu, 知母), Gypsum Fibrosum (Shigao, 石膏), Oryza Sativa (Dami, 大米), Processed Licorice Root (Zhigancao, 炙草).
Treats sweating, thirst, internal heat, with a slippery pulse and cold extremities. (General Formulas No. 1.)
Xiao Qinglong Jia Shigao Tang (Minor Blue Green Dragon Decoction plus Gypsum): Ephedrae Herba (Mahuang, 麻黄), Cinnamomi Ramulus (Guizhi, 桂枝), Paeoniae Radix Alba (Baishao, 白芍), Asari Radix et Rhizoma (Xixin, 细辛), Schisandrae Fructus (Wuweizi, 五味), Pinelliae Rhizoma Preparatum (Banxia, 半夏), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Gancao, 甘草), Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens (Ganjiang, 干姜), Gypsum Fibrosum (Shigao, 石膏).
Treats cough with rebellious Qi, irritability, and panting; also treats lung distension with a floating pulse. (No. 2.)
