Gong Tingxian recorded in *Huichun*: The greasy dirt on the surface of a pot lid is called "Qinglong Bei" (Green Dragon's Back), which can treat scrofula (tuberculous lymphadenitis) that has ulcerated and failed to heal for a long time. Use this substance added to "Wulong Gao" (Black Dragon Ointment) for treatment.
Wulong Gao: Burn *Miebanzi* (Strychnos nux-vomica seed) with shell until it retains its medicinal properties, remove the shell; roast *Cebaiye* (Platycladi Cacumen); burn *Renzhongxue* (i.e., disordered hair) into ash; use Qinglong Bei, paper money ash, and *Feiluomian* (fine sifted wheat flour), each one qian (approx. 3-5g). Grind all into fine powder. Mix well with aged rice vinegar to form a paste, apply to the sore, and cover externally with paper.
Today, sieves are known; some have bottoms woven with horsehair, others with silk gauze. For medicinal use, those with silk gauze bottoms are superior.
Treating overdue difficult labor: The collected emergency immortal prescription for overdue difficult labor states: Take one old sieve bottom, roll it into a tube, burn it inside a bowl, and administer to the parturient woman, allowing immediate delivery. If the delivered infant is covered with vernix caseosa (referred to as "Luo"), the efficacy is miraculous and verifiable.
Treating chronic Yin and Yang tinea (fungal skin infections): *Jiusheng Kuhai* records: Take an old bamboo lamp holder soaked with oil, place it in a pointed-bottom bottle. Install an iron wire bun-shaped stand at the bottle mouth. Dig a pit in the ground, place a large bowl inside, invert the bottle over the bowl with the base facing up, fill the surroundings with husk, and burn. Collect the oil dripping into the bowl and apply to the lesion; the effect is verified. *Wentang Yanji* records: To treat tinea, take an oil-soaked bamboo lamp hanger used for many years, heat it over fire until oil juice exudes like glue (this is preferred). Separately, stir-fry *Wubeizi* (Chinese gallnut) after removing insects and grind into powder. Mix the two ingredients together, warm with aged vinegar over fire, blend evenly, and apply; it is very effective.
Treating Lazi Toutou Chuang (a type of head ulcer occurring in winter): Zhang Ziqing's *Mifang Jiyan* records: Take one old bamboo lamp stand from a wine shop or restaurant that has been soaked with oil, break it into pieces, and pack it into a porcelain bottle. Cover the mouth with an old iron wire bun, invert it downwards. Place another empty porcelain bottle over the mouth of the lower bottle. Heat with fire so that the juice drips down. Collect the juice and apply to the sore; the effect is miraculous.
Treating Naolou (Nasal discharge/Ozena, similar to sinusitis): *Baicao Jing* records: Select a ten-year-old bamboo lamp wick frame; seek those from villages with oil stains; do not wash clean. Char them, bury in soil to preserve their nature, and grind finely. Use one or two qian each time, wrap in tofu skin, swallow with boiling water early in the morning. Continue taking until finished, and it will heal spontaneously.
