Guo's Qingjin Dingzi (Green Gold Pellet)
Malachite (3 qian), Qingfan (Vitriol), Danfan (Alum), Qinfen (Calomel), Pishuang (Arsenic Trioxide), Bai Dingxiang (Stole's Droppings), Kut Tingli (Descurainiae Semen Lepidii et Lepidii, 1 qian each), Naizi (Borneol), Shexiang (Musk, a small amount).
First, grind the Tingli into fine powder, then add the remaining drugs and grind them together to an extremely fine consistency. Form into pellets using a thick paste; alternatively, use refined honey mixed with 1 qian of Baiji powder to form pellets. The pellets should be as thick as Mahuang (Ephedrae Herba) and 2-3 cun in length. Insert them into the wound according to its depth. If pain is felt upon insertion, it is treatable; if no pain is felt, it is difficult to treat.
The first type is Jinjun Biyun Dingzi (Astringent Green Cloud Pellet), containing arsenic trioxide, used to open up the wound.
The second type is Jinwan Bixia Dingzi (Astringent Jade Glow Pellet), containing arsenic trioxide, used to remove dead flesh.
The third type is Manwan Biyu Dingzi (Slow Jade Pellet), which excludes arsenic trioxide but adds Ku Fan (Calcined Alum), used to promote the growth of healthy tissue.
Cuixia Dingzi (Emerald Glow Pellet) is used for chronic cold pain and long-standing malignant ulcers with necrotic tissue.
Ingredients: Tonglu (Malachite), Hanshui Shi (Halloysitum Rubrum), Huashi (Talcum), each 3 qian; Mingfan (Alum), Nifen (Calomel), Pishuang (Arsenic Trioxide), Yunmu Shi (Muscovite ground to powder), each 1.25 qian.
Grind all ingredients into a fine powder and form into pellets using a paste. The thickness should resemble Mahuang (Ephedrae Herba), with length varying according to the wound depth. This preparation should only be made on clear, sunny days to ensure efficacy.
Xinxiao Dingzi (Faithful Efficacy Pellet) treats all kinds of malignant ulcers.
Ingredients: Hongniangzi (Lyttae Cartharidis Vesica), Huangdan (Lead Tetroxide), Pishuang (Arsenic Trioxide), Yingshi (Falcon Droppings), Xixiao (Saltpeter), Baiji (Bletillae Rhizoma), each 1.5 qian; Tonglu (Malachite) 2.5 qian; Naizi (Borneol), Shexiang (Musk), each a small amount.

Grind into fine powder. Melt the beeswax in a silver or porcelain vessel, mix with the drug powder, and roll into pills the size of Sophora seeds. Flatten into cakes. Pierce the carbuncle with a needle, place one cake on the wound head, and pierce the surrounding area five to seven times to allow evil blood to drain. Apply a soft ointment over it for immediate effect. Internally, administer Shougong Xuanhei San (First Merit Black Powder) or Chansu Wan (Toad Venom Pill).
