The ancient coins and mirrors from previous dynasties, having been buried in the ground for a long time, are obtained by chance. After wiping off the mud and grinding them into dust, this material is something that can be encountered but not sought after. Secondly, select ancient bronze vessels that produce a wooden sound when struck. Heat them over a large fire, quench them in vinegar until they are thoroughly fragmented; if not fragmented, repeat the process. Finally, use the water-calcination method (Shuifei) to grind them to an extremely fine powder, which is still effective. This medicine is also known as "Dan Tou" (Cinnabar Head/Base). For every one qian of Dan Tou, add one qian of Sha Qing (Azurite/Lapis Lazuli processed by water-calcination), and five fen each of Hong Fan (Red Alum), Ying Bai (White Eagle Droppings), and Zhu Huang (Spider Yellow). If stubborn eye nebula (Yi) does not disappear, add Ci Shuang (Magnetic Frost/Rust) ground up, and one fresh Qing Niang Zi (Green Lady Beetle).
Zhu Huang: Catch dozens of large flower spiders from the mountains during spring and summer, store them in newly cut bamboo tubes, and feed them occasionally with cinnabar powder mixed with rooster comb blood. Over time, their abdomens will naturally turn yellow and become solid. Remove the heads and feet, then dry them in the sun.
Ying Bai: Refers to the white part of eagle droppings, which are abundant on stone cliffs near mountain streams. They can be collected at any time. Alternatively, using weaver bird droppings, removing the black parts and keeping the white parts is also acceptable.
Qing Niang Zi: In late summer and early autumn, these are very common in the weeds along field ridges. They resemble crickets and have red and green patterns. Their scent is clear, fragrant, and pleasant, but they fly well and are difficult to catch. Once caught, regardless of the quantity, grind them with Ci Shuang until melted, dry them, and store them properly. Adding a small amount before use is sufficient.
For eye nebula that has formed a substance but is not yet slippery/detached, Kong Qing Shi (Azurite) cannot completely remove it; this formula is indicated.
Coins and mirrors were originally cast from copper mixed with pig iron. Their nature can overcome Wood (Liver belongs to Wood). After many years, their temperament transforms completely, and their essence becomes more spiritual/effective. They are abraded with Sha Qing and quenched with Ku Jiu (Vinegar), assisted by the acidity of Hong Fan to adhere to the flesh (affected area). Zhu Huang and Ying Bai are toxic and capable of attacking hardness and breaking accumulation, far surpassing Gan Shi (Calamina). However, this must only be used when absolutely necessary. If one merely looks at the name, and given the uniqueness of the formula and the distinctiveness of the medicines, without careful consideration of the sequence, continuous application and grinding may lead to blindness. Ruining one's reputation is a minor matter, but damaging one's own Yin virtue is considerable.
Schizopoda chinensis (Pangolin scales), Ivory, Pig trotters, Eagle claws, Antelope horns, Rhinoceros horns, Green olive pits ground into powder with milk, Cicada sloughs (remove heads, feet, and wings), Snake sloughs, Chick sloughs—take the white skin membrane from chicks hatching from eggs, Human nails (also called Ren Tui), Silkworm sloughs (the round cocoon of silkworms, wild silkworms are especially good). The above five types of sloughs are honey-fried and ground into powder. Adzuki beans, Polygonatum odoratum seeds (Weirui Ren), Ci Qing (Magnetic Azurite), Ye Ming Sha (Gecko Droppings), and Hinge Shell (Shuejue Ming) processed by water-calcination and clarified. All the above ingredients are in equal parts. Combine them, grind further, sieve, and store for use.
This is indicated for all fragile, tender, and superficial eye nebulae, whether cloud-like or star-like, where there is photophobia but vision remains, as well as for children and frail postpartum women who cannot tolerate toxic attacks. Apply this medicine.
The formation of eye nebula in the eyes is like dust covering a mirror. Initially, it can be wiped away; if left for a long time, it must be polished. Once damaged, even polishing cannot restore it to its original state. Even if possessing divine powers to dispel evil and cure disease, flaws remain. Therefore, these three methods of preparing powder are used to treat the aforementioned persons and syndromes. Within a short period, the nebula will disappear. It is aptly called "Bi Chen Fen" (Dust-Repelling Powder). Truly excellent.
Among various formulas, this one is considered extremely inferior (or coarse/rude in preparation/status). However, noble and arrogant individuals cannot endure bitterness and pain, and the condition requires treatment that cannot be avoided by other means. Preparing this method is not meaningless.
