It is Shunqi Wan (Smooth Qi Pill) from *Jingui Yaolue* (Essential Prescriptions of the Golden Cabinet), removing Dioscoreae Rhizoma (Shanyao), Alisma Rhizoma (Zexie), and Moutan Cortex (Danpi), adding Cistanche Stem (Rongshu), Morinda Root (Baji), Polygala Tuber (Yuanzhi), Acorus Rhizome (Shichangpu), Dendrobium Caulis (Shihu), Schisandra Fruit (Wuweizi), and Ophiopogon Tuber (Maimendong), with each herb in equal proportions. Decoct with Ginger (Xu Jiang) and Jujube (Zao). It treats tongue aphasia (inability to speak due to tongue stiffness) and leg flaccidity (inability to walk due to lower limb weakness) caused by Kidney Qi deficiency.
Compound Formula:
It combines Liuwei Dihuang Wan (Six-Ingredient Rehmannia Pill), Guben Wan (Root-Solidifying Pill), and Buyin Wan (Nourishing Yin Pill). It tonifies the essence and blood of the Heart, Kidney, and other Zang organs, and drains fire and dampness from these organs. Attached is the formula for Guben Wan (Root-Solidifying Pill): use Rehmanniae Radix Preparata (Dihuang), Asparagi Tuber (Tianmendong), and Ophiopogon Tuber (Maimendong) in equal proportions. Grind into powder, mix with refined honey, and make pills the size of a Chinese quince seed (Wuzi). Take 50 pills per dose, on an empty stomach, with warm wine or light salt water.
Attached is the formula for Buyin Wan (Nourishing Yin Pill): use Phellodendri Cortex (Huangbai) stir-fried with salt water, Anemarrhenae Rhizoma (Zhimu) stir-fried with salt water, baked animal fat (Zaobansu) roasted (each 3 liang), Cynomorii Herba (Suoyang) roasted with butter (2 liang), Lycii Fructus (Gouqizi), Schisandra Fruit (Wuweizi), and Asparagi Tuber (Tianmendong). Take 80 pills per dose, on an empty stomach.
It is Guben Wan (Root-Solidifying Pill) plus Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma (Renshen). Materia Medica states that Ginseng unblocks Heart Qi, hence it is suitable to add. It treats thirst caused by Lung heat and dryness, or scanty dark urine resembling strangury. This is a sacred medicine for treating deficiency. The Lung governs Qi, and the root of Qi lies in the Dantian; the Lung fears Fire, and controlling Fire must be based on Kidney Water.
It is Guben Wan (Root-Solidifying Pill) plus Cervus Cornu Degelatinatum (Lujiaoshuang) (0.5 jin) and Phellodendri Cortex (Huangbai) (1 jin). The Huangbai is processed in four ways: 4 liang stir-fried with wine, 0.5 jin soaked in human milk and dried, and some stir-fried with salt water.
It is Guben Wan (Root-Solidifying Pill) plus Lycii Fructus (Gouqizi) and Lycii Cortex (Digupi), which can improve vision.
Also known as Eryi Wan (Two-Polarities Pill), it is Guben Wan (Root-Solidifying Pill) removing Prepared Rehmanniae Radix (Shudihuang) and Ophiopogon Tuber (Maimendong).

Next day, boil three or four times, strain, and take before meals on an empty stomach. It descends Heart Fire, nourishes Yin, tonifies blood, moistens, and supplements without being drying.
It is Tiandi Wan (Heaven-Earth Pill) plus Aurantii Fructus (Zhike) bran-fried and Chrysanthemi Indici Flos (Ganjuhua) (each 2 liang).
