Shizitou (Stone Head): Take the patient's hand again. Grasp the arm yourself. From the large crease at the wrist (Daze), measure one Cun (a unit of measurement based on the patient's own body dimensions) upwards to the junction with the white flesh area. Moxibustion: 7 cones. Indications: Ma Huang disease, jaundice, etc. (Source: *Qianjin Fang*)
Note: In *Qianjin Yifang*, "KT" is written as "Bi" (Arm), and "Ze" is written as "Yuan" (Abyss/Pool). This is correct.
Hekou: Located in the depression behind the wrist where the artery can be felt. (Source: *Qianjin Fang*)
Note: *Qianjin Yifang* writes "behind the wrist, in the depression where the artery is felt." This corresponds to the Yangming channel. *Lijing* states: According to this, it should be adjacent to Yangxi (LI5) of the Hand-Yangming channel. *Qianjin Fang* says: For heart pain, moxa the wrist crease on the arm, 3x7 cones. It also says: For carbuncles (Ding Chuang), moxa five Cun posterior to the palmar wrist crease, left for men and right for women, 7 cones, and it will heal. I have used this method and found it effective. Although there are many moxibustion methods for treating carbuncles, this one is very effective and unexpected. These two locations also seem similar to Hekou.
Dishen (Earth God): Treats death by hanging. Moxa the depressions in the large joints of the four limbs, specifically at the crease at the base of the thumb. Name: Dishen. Moxibustion: 7 cones. (Source: *Qianjin Fang*)
Hukou (Tiger's Mouth): Heart pain. Moxa both Tiger's Mouth areas, at the junction with the white flesh, 7 cones. (Source: *Qianjin Fang*)
Note: *Qianjin Yifang* says: For irritability, heat, and headache, puncture Hukou.
Feihu (Flying Tiger): Also known as Tongmen acupoint. Another view holds it is Zhigou (TE6). Place the hand at the Tiger's Mouth, and write the character "Fei" (Fly) with the middle finger; this location is the acupoint. (Source: *Zhenjiu Dquan*)
Note: Details for this acupoint are missing; see the entry for Zhigou for details.
Dagukong (Large Bone Empty): On the anterior aspect of the second phalanx of the thumb, at the tip. When the finger is flexed, it aligns with the middle of the interphalangeal joint. Moxibustion: 2x7 cones. Indications: Long-standing internal eye obstruction (cataracts), vomiting, and diarrhea. (Source: *Lijing*) At the upper part of the middle phalanx, when flexed, it aligns with the depression at the bone tip. (Source: *Zhenjiu Dacheng*) Contraindication: Puncture. (Source: *Lijing*)
Note: *Yixue Gangmu* states: Moxa 9 cones, extinguish the fire by blowing. *Qianjin Yifang* says: For Spleen Wind divination, if speech is lost or hands tremble up and down, moxa the tips of all ten fingers.
Xiaogukong (Small Bone Empty): At the tip of the second phalanx of the little finger. (Source: *Zhenjiu Dquan*)
Note: *Yulong Fu* says: Treats rotting eyes and stops cold tearing. *Yixue Gangmu* says: Moxa 7 cones, extinguish by blowing. *Qianjin Yifang* says: For throat bi (obstruction), puncture the nail folds of both little fingers, bleed enough for three soybeans, and it will heal. Left lesion puncture left, right lesion puncture right. This location is nearby.
Quanjian (Fist Tip): Anterior to the proximal interphalangeal joint of the middle finger, on the bone tip. Locate by making a fist. (Source: *Lijing*)
Note: *Qianjin Fang* says: For wind cataract affecting the right eye, moxa the bone at the head of the proximal phalanx of the right middle finger, 5 cones, size of a wheat grain. Do the same for the left hand. *Qianjin Yifang* says: For toothache, moxa the dorsal aspect of both middle fingers, anterior to the first phalanx, in the depression, 7 cones. The pain subsides immediately after removing the moxa.
Zhongkui (Middle Peak): Anterior to the second phalanx of the middle finger, on the bone tip, located by flexing the finger. Alternatively, it is said to be in the depression between the two tendons on the upper medial side of the wrist. Moxibustion: 2x7 cones. This refers to Yangxi (LI5). Readers should distinguish. Indications: Five Diaphragm disorders, Five Dysphagia conditions. (Source: *Lijing*) Wanwanzhong (Gentle Depression). (Source: *Yizong Jinjian*)
Note: *Qianjin Yifang* says: For toothache, moxa the dorsal aspect of both middle fingers, anterior to the first phalanx, in the depression, 7 cones. The pain subsides immediately after removing the moxa. *Zhenjiu Dacheng* says: For five dysphagia, regurgitation, and vomiting, moxa 7 cones, suitable for reducing method. Additionally, the two Yangxi points are also named Zhongkui.
Zhongquan (Central Spring): In the depression between Yangchi (TE4) and Yangxi (LI5) on the lateral side of the wrist. (Source: *Lijing*)
Wuhu Four Points: Between the dorsal aspects of the index finger and ring finger, anterior to the proximal interphalangeal joint, on the bone tip. One point on each side. Locate by making a fist. (Source: *Lijing*)
Note: *Qixiao Liangfang* says: At the bone tip of the second phalanx of the index and ring fingers, located by making a fist. Indications: Spasm of the five fingers. Moxibustion: 5 cones.
Erbai Four Points: Four Cun above the palmar wrist crease. Two points of the Pericardium Channel converge here. One point is between the two tendons, and one is outside the larger tendon. Depth: Insert 0.3 Cun. Each hand has two points. One point is between the inner two tendons, which is one Cun posterior to Jianshi (PC5). The other point is inside the tendon, parallel to the inner point. (Source: *Zhenjiu Dacheng*)
Dasikuan Four Points: Refers to the two Hegu (LI4) and two Taichong (LR3) points. (Source: *Zhenjiu Dacheng*)
Note: Regarding "Kuan", Wu Wenbing writes "Kai". *Qixiao Liangfang* writes Xingjian (LR2) instead of Taichong.
Longxuan (Dragon Mystery): The intersecting vessels on the lateral side of the wrist. (Source: *Shenying Jing*) On the purple vessels at the intersection of the wrists of both hands. (Source: *Zhenjiu Dacheng*)
Note: *Yixue Gangmu* writes: In the green vessel above Lieque (LU7), moxa. Indications: Lower jaw gum disease (gan).
Longhu (Dragon and Tiger): In the purple vessels on the lateral side of the wrist. (Source: *Yijing Guoxiao*)
Note: *Yijing Guoxiao* says: Longhu is in the purple vessels on the lateral wrist. For full-mouth toothache, moxa 7 cones. It is likely Longxuan, but cannot be changed. Record for now.
Sifeng Four Points: Inside the four fingers of the hand, at the middle phalanx. Use a three-edged needle to bleed. Indications: Pediatric "monkey labor" syndrome and other conditions. (Source: *Zhenjiu Dacheng*)
Shenshou (Divine Grant): For dental abscess, moxa Shenshou 2x7 cones. Measure from the patient's thumb upwards to the gap in the bone, using the patient's hand span as a measure. (Source: *Yongju Shenmi Jiufa*)
Shinxin (Palm Center): For canine epilepsy, characterized by clenched fists and limbs, moxa both palms, 1 cone. (Source: *Qianjin Fang*) For jaundice, moxa the center of the palm, 7 cones. (Source: *Qianjin Yifang*) For sudden death causing pain, pinch Renzhong (GV26) to revive. If unresponsive, curl the hand and moxa the head of the lower crease, number of cones according to age. (Source: *Waitai Mi Yao*)
Jiaomai (Intersecting Vessel): For sudden stroke, moxa the Hand Intersecting Vessel, 3 cones. Moxa left for right lesions, right for left. Shape the moxa cone like a rat droppings, place horizontally, and ignite both ends. (Source: *Qianjin Fang*) For shortness of breath and inability to speak, moxa the space between the fourth and fifth digits of the little finger, above the Intersecting Vessel, 7 cones. (Same source) For toothache, moxa above the Intersecting Vessel, anterior to the high bone above the lateral malleolus, 7 cones. (Source: *Qianjin Yifang*)
Gaogu (High Bone): Five fen anterior to one Cun above the wrist crease. Depth: Insert 1 Cun. Moxibustion: 7 cones. Indications: Hand diseases. (Source: *Zhenjiu Dacheng*)
Jinmen (Golden Gate): For scrofula (Luoli) appearing between the ear and the back of the neck, resembling a string of beads. Method: Moxa Jinmen 2 cones. Location: Three and a half Cun above the wrist crease. (Source: *Waike Dacheng*)
Jianju (Sword Giant): For "horse knife" (scrofula occurring behind the ear, invading the hairline, slightly swollen, hard as stone, severe cases radiating pain to the vertex). Moxa Jianju 2x7 cones. Location: Three Cun above the wrist crease. (Source: *Waike Dacheng*)
Zhoujian (Elbow Tip): For Wuzhu (abnormal qi invasion), moxa the elbow tip, number of cones according to age. (Source: *Qianjin Yifang*) For scrofula, moxa the opposite side: left lesion moxa right, right lesion moxa left. For newborns, left for boys, right for girls, moxa Fengchi (GB20). (Source: *Zhenjiu Rumeng*) Located on the tip of the elbow bone, locate by flexing the elbow. (Source: *Zhenjiu Dacheng*) At the extreme tip of the elbow. (Source: *Yizong Jinjian*)
Note: *Qianjin Fang·Changyong Pian* says: Flex both elbows and moxa the sharp bone at the elbow head, 100 cones each. Pus and blood discharge indicates healing. *Qianjin Yifang* says: Moxa the elbow tip. Note: Sometimes written as "crease". *Waike Dacheng* says: For locating, have the patient sit upright, cross hands on chest, the prominent bone at the back of the elbow is the point. For moxa, the assistant stands behind the patient. The point is on the small sharp bone on the inner side at the back. Press with finger; soreness and numbness at the site confirms the true point. This is next to the large elbow tip, the small elbow tip. With palm up, aligned with the little finger. Pressing this bone tip causes numbness in the little finger, which is the sign. This point and Jianjian are often not taken as they are inaccurate. Only this method is most accurate, so it is highlighted. Cherish it. However, this may be Shaohai (HT3).
Chongyang: At the outer end of the transverse crease when the elbow is flexed laterally. (Source: *Qianjin Yifang*)
Note: *Qianjin Yifang* annotation says: This is Quchi (LI11). Chongyang is located 5 Cun above the dorsum of the foot. *Waitai Mi Yao* agrees. *Waike Quanshu* says: Zu Baxie, five on each foot. *Qianjin Fang* says: For mania, running wildly, stabbing people, wanting to die, cursing incessantly, claiming to speak with spirits/gods, moxa the inner flexion of both elbows, 5 cones. Also treats Wushi (Five Corpse) disease, moxa the elbow crease, number of cones according to age. *Qianjin Yifang* says: For coughing with open mouth, moxa the head of the large transverse crease under the inner flexion of both elbows, number of cones according to age. Also for carbuncles: If on the left, moxa the anterior aspect of the left arm elbow crease. Take three fingers' width outward from the patient, moxa in the middle of the arm, between the two tendons. Move from non-painful to painful area. If swelling is on the right, do the same on the right. Healing within 3-4 days of moxa. Other scattered entries in various chapters are detailed in the Indications section.
Yanzi Gu (Inkstone Bone): For chickenpox, moxa the tips of the Yanzi bones on both wrists, 3 cones, left for men, right for women. (Source: *Qianjin Fang* ○ Head note: Yan, Ming edition writes "Yan". Yanzi Gu location is unclear. Yan, *Qianjin Yifang* writes "Yan", no difference in meaning.)
Tianxin: Approximately eight Cun dry? (Source: *Zhenjiu Mizhi*)
Note: Text is unintelligible. The diagram shows it beside Laogong (PC8).
Hengwen (Transverse Crease): At the end of the palm crease. Pinch towards the tip of the middle finger. Indication: Vomiting. (Source: *Zhenjiu Mizhi*)
Note: *Qianjin Fang* says: Moxa five Cun posterior to the palmar wrist crease, left for men, right for women, 7 cones, and it heals. Already used and effective. Although there are many moxa methods for carbuncles, this one is very effective and unexpected.
Men: Five fen below the thumb joint. Treats shortness of breath and qi attack. Push Men towards the transverse crease, indication: Vomiting/Hengmen. (Men, suspected to be a typo for Wen/Crest). Push towards Men, indication: Purging. (Source: *Zhenjiu Mizhi*)
