Bai Pu Xi (Decayed Cattail Mat, one handful, cut into three-cun pieces), Jiu Yong Chui Dan Bu (Old Cooking Cloth, one chi, burned to ash), Fei Bo (Crimson Silk, palm-sized, burned to ash), Luan Fa (Tangled Hair, egg-sized, burned to ash).
The above seven ingredients are decocted with Tong Zi Xiao Bian (Child's Urine), the quantity of which is adjusted according to the severity of the condition. Once the decoction is ready, add one large cup of wine, then add Da Huang (Rhubarb Rhizome and Stem). Strain out the dregs, and divide into three warm doses. First, chop the Bai Pu Xi finely.
Bai Pu Jian (Decayed Cattail Mat Decoction) from *Jin Gui Yao Lue* treats injuries caused by falling from a horse. During galloping, Yang Qi surges upward; a sudden fall causes injury primarily to the head, presenting with symptoms such as head distension and neck swelling. This formula aims to expel blood stasis.
Wang Bu Liu Xing (Vaccariae Semen, ten parts, collected on the 8th day of the 8th lunar month), Shuo Di Xi Ye (Dioscoreae Hypoglaucae Folium, ten parts, collected on the 7th day of the 7th lunar month), Sang Gen Pi (Mori Cortex, specifically the white bark from the southeast root, ten parts, collected on the 3rd day of the 3rd lunar month), Cao (Grass, eighteen parts - *note: original text likely incomplete or variant*).
For the above nine ingredients, burn the first three (including Sang Gen Pi) to ash while preserving their medicinal properties (Cun Xing), ensuring they do not become excessive ash. Pound and sieve each separately, then mix to form a powder. Take one Fang Cun Bi (a traditional measuring spoon for powder) per dose.
For minor wounds or injuries caused by metal blades, if bandaging is not tight, exposure to Wind pathogen may cause sudden lack of exudate or spasms; exposure to Water/Dampness may result in the discharge of greenish-yellow fluid. Wind invasion leads to spasms (Jing Zheng), while Water/Dampness invasion leads to ulceration.
Wang Bu Liu Xing promotes the rapid flow of blood in the meridians, irrigating the whole body and preventing turbulent stagnation at the injury site. Sang Gen Pi (Mori Cortex) drains wind-dampness from the muscles. Shuo Di leaves promote tissue regeneration (Sheng Ji).
Di Yu (Sanguisorbae Radix, eight liang, washed and pounded into fine powder), Juan (Silk Fabric, one pi, thin quality).
Wash the silk fabric thoroughly with clean water, treat with charcoal ash paste, and leach two dou of clear ash juice. Boil the silk until the ash juice is fully absorbed. The silk should be boiled until soft and rotten, allowing it to be torn into sheet-like segments. [Used for] repairing intestines, bladders, and all visceral injuries.
The silk's ability to reconnect intestines and repair viscera derives its efficacy from the Mulberry tree. Because the mulberry absorbs the vital energy (Sheng Qi) of the rising sun and is considered the essence of the Ji Star (one of the Twenty-Eight Mansions), it is thus termed... [text fragment].
Suture the wound with threads made from mulberry branches and apply mulberry paste. This also utilizes the principle of absorbing vital energy.
