Postpartum bladder injury, this is due to the midwife's fault, treat it with Baiji San (White Rhizoma Bletillae Powder).
Baiji San (White Rhizoma Bletillae Powder)
White Rhizoma Bletillae (Baiji), Phoenix Eggshell Membrane (Fenghuangyi), Mantis Ootheca (Sangpiaoxiao) (equal parts)
Place inside a pig's urinary bladder, boil until soft and eat.
Postpartum edema of the four limbs, with skin appearing smooth and lustrous, is caused by Spleen deficiency failing to control water and Kidney deficiency failing to circulate water. Treatment should primarily focus on greatly tonifying Qi and Blood, assisted by herbs such as Atractylodes Macrocephala Rhizome (Cangzhu), Atractylodes Rhizome (Baizhu), and Poria (Fuling). For deficiency, add Ginseng Radix (Renshen) and Thunberg Fritillary Bulb (Mutong). For heat, add Ophiopogon Tuber (Maidong) and Scutellaria Root (Huangqin). If swelling is due to wind-cold-dampness invading the exterior causing anhidrosis, Wupi San (Five Peel Powder) with Ginger Peel (Jiangpi), Pinellia Tuber (Banxia), and Perilla Leaf (Suye) should be used to induce mild sweating, allowing water qi to exit through the skin and hair follicles, followed by conditioning with tonic formulas.
Lishui Yiqi Tang (Water-Draining Qi-Nourishing Decoction)

Wujiapi San (Five Adder Skin Powder)
Acanthopanacis Cortex (Wujiapi), Areca Seed (Fupi), Poria (Fupi), Phellodendri Cortex (Gupi), Ginger Peel (Jiangpi) (equal parts)
Postpartum consumption disease (Laozhai), all result from unrestrained desires and irregular daily routines, leading to exhaustion of True Yin, rising of deficient fire, or steaming heat, or alternating chills and fever resembling malaria but not malaria, or hemoptysis, expectoration of blood, spontaneous sweating, night sweats, mental restlessness, dreams of sexual intercourse with spirits, amenorrhea, and progressive emaciation. All are caused by Yin deficiency generating internal heat. Heat stagnating for a long time transforms into deficiency and weakness; treatment should clear heat and stop coughing, moisten the Lung and purge fire, nourish True Yin, and restore vitality. Patients must practice sexual restraint and internal cultivation to be effective; otherwise, it is incurable.
Baozhen Tang (Preserve Truth Decoction)
Sichuan Lovage Rhizome (Chuanxiong), Angelica Sinensis Radix (Danggui), Rehmannia Root (Shengdi), White Peony Root (Baishao) (each 2 qian), Ophiopogon Tuber (Maidong) (1 qian), Asparagus Tuber (Tiantong), Fritillaria Cirrhosa Bulb (Chuanbei), Poria (Fuling) (each 5 fen), Platycodon Root (Jiegeng) (8 fen), Schisandra Berry (Wuweizi) (10 grains), Phellodendri Cortex (Gupi), Honey-fried Licorice Root (Zhigancao) (4 fen), Jujube (Zao) (2 pieces)
Decoct in water. For deficiency, add Ginseng Radix (Renshen) 1 qian, Astragalus Root (Huangqi) 6 fen. For weak stomach, add Poria (Fuling) and Chinese Yam (Shanyao) each 2 qian, Amomum Fruit (Sharen) 3 grains.
Jiawei Dazao Wan (Modified Great Creation Pill)
Human Placenta (Ziheche), Rehmannia Root (Shengdi) (1 liang), Ginseng Radix (Renshen), Angelica Sinensis Radix (Danggui), Chinese Yam (Shanyao), Lycium Fruit (Qizi) (each 1 liang), Anemarrhena Rhizome (Zhimu) (1.5 qian), Dendrobium Stem (Shihu) (wine-steamed), Ophiopogon Tuber (Maidong) (each 8 qian), Silver Bupleurum Root (Yin Hu), Tortoise Carapace (Guiban) (5 qian)
Grind into powder, refine with honey to make pills the size of wutong seeds, take morning and evening.
The above two formulas only outline the general principles; syndrome differentiation and treatment depend entirely on the physician's judgment at the time. Formulas such as Buzhong Yiqi Tang (Tonify the Middle and Augment the Qi Decoction), Liuwei Shenqi Wan (Six-Ingredient Rehmannia Pill with Cinnamon and Aconite), Bazhen Tang (Eight-Treasure Decoction), Shiquan Dabu Tang (Ten-Ingredient Great Tonifying Decoction), Hushao Dan (Rejuvenation Pellet), Xiaoyao San (Free and Easy Wanderer Powder) plus Chuanxiong and Danggui can all treat consumption diseases; select according to symptoms.
Note: Postpartum Qi and Blood are already depleted, and both Yin and Yang are exhausted. One should employ great warming and great tonification methods to assist True Yang to generate True Yin, guiding fire back to its source. The method should prioritize genuine Donkey-hide Gel (Ejiao) and Cassia Twig (Rougui) to descend deficient fire and false heat to the Lower Burner (Dantian). Add Poria (Fu), Atractylodes Rhizome (Zhu), Ginseng Radix (Shen), and Astragalus Root (Qi) to strengthen the Spleen and tonify Qi. Slightly add Tortoise Carapace (Guijiao), Dendrobium Stem (Shihu), Stir-fried Prepared Rehmannia Root (Shudi), Astragalus Complanatus Seed (Shayuan), and Tribulus Fruit (Jili) to nourish Yin and assist. After taking four or five doses, improvement will surely be seen. Do not use Yin-nourishing and Lung-clearing drugs, as this will worsen the condition and endanger life. Wait until the stomach opens and Spleen transport functions recover, and fire descends while Yang returns, then add herbs for treating cough within the warming and tonifying regimen, which can save lives. Taking too many cooling drugs will cause True Yang to float upward. If symptoms show purplish-red malar flush, shortness of breath due to Qi deficiency, and pale red sclera, Prepared Aconite Root (Zhi Fu) must be used; delay leads to Yang collapse.
