Located at the upper margin of Qujiao Temporalis (Qujiao Temporalis). Moxibustion: 3 moxa cones. Indications: Wind-dizziness, blindness, hemianopia, headache on one side, pulling sensation causing tension in the outer eye, tinnitus, frequent sneezing, neck pain.

Located at the center of Qujiao Temporalis (Qujiao Temporalis). Moxibustion: 3 moxa cones. Indications: Heat disease, headache on one side, pulling sensation causing tension in the inner eye, fever with irritability and fullness, absence of sweating, toothache, redness and pain of the facial skin.

Located at the lower margin of Qujiao Temporalis (Qujiao Temporalis). Moxibustion: 3 moxa cones. Indications: Redness and pain of the facial skin, epilepsy, mutual pulling with susceptibility to fright, bleating like a sheep, heat disease, headache on one side, pulling sensation causing redness and pain in the outer eye, irritability and fullness with absence of sweating, heat disease.

Approximately 3 cun above the ear (Original note: This is Tianchong, BL38). Moxibustion: 3 moxa cones. Indications: Headache, epilepsy, wind-spasm, gingival swelling, susceptibility to fear and panic.

1.5 cun above the ear into the hairline. Moxibustion: 3 moxa cones. Indications: Irritability, fullness, vomiting, alcohol injury from drunkenness, onset of wind-heat, dizziness and pain in both eyes, cold-phlegm in the diaphragm and stomach, stiffness and pain in the brain angle, inability to eat.

At the hairline above the ear, in the depression at the curved corner; there is an empty space when clenching the jaw. Moxibustion: 7 moxa cones. Indications: Sudden aphonia, dental caries, swelling of the cheek and mandible, pulling sensation preventing mouth opening, acute pain, trismus.

Above the middle of the auricle; there is an empty space when opening the mouth. Moxibustion: 3 moxa cones. Indications: Neck swelling and nape pain, inability to look back, fullness in the neck, mandible, and cheek pillars, inability to chew teeth, caries pain and swelling, formation of pterygium in the eyes.

Below the lateral hair near the ear, over the transverse pulsating artery. Moxibustion: 3 moxa cones. Indications: Heavy and painful head, pulling tension in the jaw. Buzzing sound in the ears, swelling of the mandible and cheeks.

At the protruding flesh in front of the ear, directly opposite the ear notch. Moxibustion: 3 moxa cones. Indications: Ear pain, tinnitus, deafness, purulent discharge from the ear, sores, [text unclear/corrupted], tinnitus sounding like cicadas, dental caries pain.

In the depression in front of the ear, accessible by opening the mouth. One cun below Shangguan (ST7), where the pulse is palpable. Moxibustion: 5 moxa cones. Indications: Deafness with buzzing or cicada-like tinnitus, toothache with aversion to cold, epilepsy, vomiting, bone soreness, dizziness and mania, convulsions with trismus, laryngeal rattling, acute pain in the jaw, temporomandibular joint dislocation.

In the ear, a spot the size of a red bean. Moxibustion: 3 moxa cones. Indications: Tinnitus sounding like cicadas, bone萎弱 (bone flaccidity/atrophy), dizziness and mania, convulsions with trismus, laryngeal rattling, deafness as if blocked by an object, abdominal pain and fullness, arm pain, loss of voice.
