[Donkey-hide Gelatin]
Sweet in taste, neutral in nature, non-toxic. It is formed by obtaining the clear qi of Ji River water and combining it with the moistening qi of donkey hide. It can ascend and descend; it is yang within yin. Dioscorea (Shanyao) serves as its guide drug. It is inhibited by Rheum palmatum (Dahuang). It works well when processed with fire.
【Indications】Primarily treats internal hemorrhaging in the heart and abdomen, extreme exhaustion manifesting as chills resembling malaria, pain in the lower back and abdomen, soreness and pain in the four limbs, uterine bleeding in women with fetal calming, abdominal pain in men, and flaccidity and dysfunction of joints.
