Jiawei Xionggui Decoction (Modified Ligusticum and Angelica Decoction) has been tried a hundred times with hundred percent success, and is effective in every instance. It is truly a miraculous formula.
Angelicae Sinensis Radix (Danggui, 1 liang), Chuanxiong Rhizoma (Chuanxiong, 7 qian), Testudinis Carapax et Plastrum (Guiban, one slice the size of a hand, calcined with vinegar and ground into powder), Humanis Capilli Carbonisatum (Renfa, the size of an egg, baked on a tile until carbonized), added with two bowls of water. Decoct to one bowl and take orally. If the patient walks for the distance of five li, delivery will occur immediately. Even a dead fetus will be expelled.
Xue Ji stated: "Failure of the pubic symphysis to separate (Jiaogu Bukai) is due to deficiency of Yin Qi." Using this formula yields miraculous results.
He also said: "The wife of a certain Shangshe (an official title) had a closed cervix and failed to deliver for two days. After taking one dose of this formula, she delivered instantly. This Shangshe passed on this formula, and it has never failed when used."
Foshou San (Buddha's Hand Powder) treats cases where, after six or seven months of pregnancy, trauma from falling or bumping injures the fetus, or the fetus dies in the uterus, causing unceasing pain, trismus (lockjaw) and coma, or fullness and distension of the heart and abdomen with blood rushing up to the heart. Upon administration, a living fetus is secured, and a dead fetus is expelled. It also treats transverse lie (Hengsheng), breech presentation (Daochan), postpartum abdominal pain, fever, headache, expels lochia stasis, generates new blood, and can eliminate various ailments.
Angelicae Sinensis Radix (Danggui, 5 qian), Chuanxiong Rhizoma (Chuanxiong, 3 qian), added with seven parts water and three parts wine, decocted together to seven parts. For transverse lie, breech presentation, or fetal death in utero, take one he of roasted horse feed beans (Ma Liaodou), stir-fried until charred, quench them while hot in water, add half volume of child's urine (Tongbian), decoct and take. Take another dose shortly thereafter.
Pingwei San (Peaceful Stomach Powder) treats fetal death in utero (This formula should only be taken for one dose; do not take more to avoid injury. Be cautious.)
Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma (Cangzhu, stir-fried with rice wash water), Magnoliae Officinalis Cortex (Houpo, stir-fried with ginger juice), Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium (Chenpi, each 2 qian), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma Praeparata cum Melle (Zhigancao, 5 fen), added with one cup of wine and one cup of water, decocted until half the liquid remains. Add Natrii Sulfas (Poxiao, 5 qian), decoct for three to five boils, strain, and take warm. The dead fetus will transform into foul fluid and be discharged. If obtaining herbs is inconvenient in an emergency, use only Natrii Sulfas (Poxiao, 5 qian), mixed with warm child's urine (Tongbian) for oral administration, which is also effective. For cats and dogs whose fetuses die in the uterus and cannot be expelled, causing wailing, administer this mixture, and it works immediately.
Baotai Shenxiao Fang (Divine Efficacy Formula for Fetal Protection) secures the fetus before delivery and induces labor during delivery. It treats accidental injury to fetal qi, resulting in lower back pain and abdominal pain, even continuous bleeding, indicating threatened miscarriage. In critical situations, one dose brings recovery, and subsequent doses ensure complete safety. During delivery, if the pubic symphysis fails to separate, or there is transverse/breech presentation, or fetal death in utero with life-threatening conditions, this formula yields miraculous effects. Note: Once vaginal delivery is completed, this formula must absolutely not be taken. Be extremely cautious.
Angelicae Sinensis Radix Quan (Quandanggui, washed with wine, 1.5 qian), Chuanxiong Rhizoma (Chuanxiong, 1.5 qian), Magnoliae Officinalis Cortex (Houpo, stir-fried with ginger juice, 0.7 qian), Cuscutae Semen (Tusizi, soaked in wine, 1.5 qian), Fritillariae Thunbergii Bulbus (Chuanbeimu, decentered, cleaned, ground, 1 qian, added after decoction), Aurantii Fructus Immaturus (Zhiqiao, stir-bran fried, 6 fen), Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix (Qianghuo, 6 fen), Schizonepetae Spica (Jingjiesui, 8 fen), Astragali Radix (Huangqi, honey-roasted, 8 fen), Qiai Herba (Qiai, stir-fried with vinegar, 5 fen), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma Praeparata cum Melle (Zhigancao, 5 fen), Paeoniae Radix Alba (Baishaoyao, stir-fried with wine, 1.2 qian, 1 qian in winter), Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens (Shengjiang, 3 slices), added with two cups of water, decocted to eight parts. Re-decoct the dregs with one cup of water to six parts. Before delivery, take two doses on an empty stomach. During delivery, take warm at any time. This is a miraculous formula transmitted by immortals; do not let mediocre doctors arbitrarily alter the dosages.
This is named Shierhong Xianfang (Twelve Reds Immortal Formula), a sacred medicine for securing the fetus, proven effective repeatedly. For pregnant women, starting from the third month, it should be taken according to the formula once every ten days. Daily use ensures fetal security, and during delivery, it facilitates smooth passage. It is truly an immortal formula.
Dasheng Tang (Formula for Reaching Birth) is taken after the ninth month of pregnancy; repeated administration is particularly effective.
Angelicae Sinensis Radix Quan (Quandanggui, washed with wine, 1.5 qian), Chuanxiong Rhizoma (Chuanxiong, 6 fen), Leonuri Herba (Yimucacao, 1 qian, avoid iron vessels), Plantaginis Semen (Cheqianzi, stir-fried and ground, 5 fen), Abutiloni Semen (Dongkuizi, stir-fried and ground, 1 qian), Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma (Baizhu, soaked in rice wash water and stir-fried, 1 qian), Arecae Pericarpium (Dafupi, 4 fen, rinsed several times with boiling water), Achyranthis Bidentatae Radix (Niuxi, soaked in wine overnight, 6 fen), Aurantii Fructus Immaturus (Zhiqiao, stir-bran fried, 5 fen), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma Praeparata cum Melle (Zhigancao, 3 fen), Aucklandiae Radix (Guangmuxiang, avoid fire, ground into powder, add 3 fen when other herbs are done decocting), Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens (Shengjiang, 1 slice), added with two cups of water, decocted to eight parts. Take warm after meals. If abdominal pain occurs, add Angelicae Dahuricae Radix (Baizhi) and Aquilariae Lignum Resinatum (Chenxiang) (each 5 fen) and decoct together.
Huasheng Tang (Transforming the Old into New Decoction) is taken immediately after delivery.
Angelicae Sinensis Radix Quan (Quandanggui, washed with wine, 8 qian), Chuanxiong Rhizoma (Chuanxiong, 3 qian), Zingiberis Rhizoma Carbonisatum (Jiantan, 5 fen, 4 fen in summer), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma Praeparata cum Melle (Zhigancao, 5 fen), Persicae Semen (Taoren, 10 kernels, skin and tip removed, crushed). Prepare two doses according to the formula near the due date. When labor pains begin, use two cups of water to decoct one dose first, set aside the dregs. Decoct the second dose, then combine its dregs with the previous ones and decoct together to obtain three cups of liquid. Mix well, drink while hot, adding six or seven spoons of yellow wine. Administer immediately after delivery, before any food intake. It expels stasis and generates new blood, permanently preventing postpartum disorders. If fatigue or abdominal pain persists within two or three days, continue taking two or three doses for recovery. It also treats all critical postpartum conditions, ensuring immediate stability.
This formula, along with Dasheng Tang, was established by Mr. Zhang Mengshen as a benevolent prescription for relieving suffering. It can be used for both major and minor deliveries with miraculous efficacy.
For various postpartum syndromes, Huasheng Tang serves as the principal formula; others are merely modifications based on symptoms. If lochia has flowed and abdominal pain has ceased, remove Persicae Semen (Taoren); taking additional doses is acceptable. If thirsty, add Ophiopogonis Radix (Maidong) and Schisandrae Fructus (Wuweizi); for cold pain, add Cinnamomi Cortex (Rougui) and Amomi Fructus (Sharen); for dietary injury from meat, add Crataegi Fructus (Shanzha); for grain injury, add Hordeum Vulgare Germinatum (Maiya); for fruit injury, add Cardamomi Fructus (Caoguo) wrapped in flour and roasted (a few fen); for sour plum injury, add Evodiae Fructus (Wuzhuyu) (3-5 fen); for water chestnut injury, add Testudinis Carapax et Plastrum (Sheng Guiban); for pear and watermelon injury, add Cinnamomi Cortex (Rougui), etc.
Antai Fang (Fetal Securing Formula)
Astragali Radix (Huangqi, honey-roasted), Eucommiae Cortex (Duzhong, stir-fried with ginger juice), Poria (Fuling, each 1 qian), Scutellariae Radix (Huangqin, 1.5 qian), Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma (Baizhu, raw, 5 fen), Coagulum Sangui Draconis (Ejiaozhu, 1 qian), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Gancao, 3 fen), Dipsaci Radix (Xuduan, 8 fen). For chest fullness, add Perillae Folium (Zisu) and Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium (Chenpi) (each 8 fen); for bleeding, add Artemisiae Argyi Folium (Aiye) and Sanguisorbae Radix (Diyu) (each 1 qian), increase Ejiao dosage. Infusion: One hundred grains of Oryza Sativa Glutinosa (Nuomi), two cups of wine, two cups of water, decoct. For abdominal pain, use high heat.
Antai Yinzhu Jiu (Silver and Ramie Wine for Fetal Securing) treats pregnancy with fetal restlessness threatening expulsion, unbearable pain, and fetal leakage bleeding.
Ramiae Mori Cortex (Zhugen, 2 liang; if unavailable, use Imperatae Rhizoma, Maocaogen, 5 liang), Silver (Wenyin, 5 liang), Yellow Wine (Huangjiu, 1 bowl), added with water and decocted.
Zijiu (Purple Wine) treats pregnancy with severe lower back pain as if broken.
Black Soja Seed (Heiliaodou, 2 he, stir-fried until charred), White Wine (Baijiu, 1 large bowl), decocted to seven parts. Take on an empty stomach.
Danggui Buxue Tang (Angelica Tonifying Blood Decoction) greatly tonifies Yin and Blood, and miraculously resolves fever due to blood deficiency.
Astragali Radix (Huangqi, honey-roasted, 1 liang), Angelicae Sinensis Radix (Danggui, 3 qian), added with two bowls of water, decocted to one bowl. One dose cures immediately.
Huatuo Yufeng San (Huatuo's Wind-Resolving Powder) treats postpartum wind-stroke in women, characterized by trismus, convulsions of hands and feet, opisthotonos, or postpartum blood syncope with loss of consciousness, limb rigidity, palpitations, vomiting, diarrhea, and impending death.
Schizonepetae Spica (Jingjiesui, stems removed, dried and ground). Take 3 qian per dose, mixed with child's urine (Tongbian). If trismus prevents swallowing, pry open teeth and pour in. If teeth are tightly clenched so powder cannot be used, decoct Jingjie in child's urine until slightly warm and instill into the nose; the effect is miraculous.
Tongmai San (Unblocking Pulse Powder) treats scanty lactation or agalactia.
Astragali Radix (Huangqi, raw, 1 liang), Angelicae Sinensis Radix (Danggui, 5 qian), Angelicae Dahuricae Radix (Baizhi, 5 qian), paired with one pair of pig trotters with seven pores. Boil trotters in soup, skim off floating oil, decoct herbs in the soup to make one large bowl. Take orally.
Sleep with head covered immediately after ingestion to induce lactation. If ineffective, take another dose; no case remains unresolved. For new mothers with no milk, omit pig trotters; use half water and half wine for decoction. For robust constitutions, add Honghua (Carthami Flos, 3-5 fen) to expel lochia stasis.
