Treats the sensation of *xin zhong pi* (stagnation in the heart region) and various types of *qi ni* (rebellious qi) causing a hanging pain in the heart. This decoction is the primary treatment.
Guizhi Tang (Cinnamon Twig Decoction) ingredients: Guizhi (Ramulus Cinnamomi), Shengjiang (Rhizoma Zingiberis Recens) (each 3 liang). Zhishi (Fructus Aurantii Immaturus) (5 liang).
Take the above three herbs, add six sheng of water, boil to obtain three sheng of liquid, and divide into three warm doses.
The song states: The hanging pain in the heart is connected with stagnation; phlegm-fluids rise upwards, filling the chest with rebellious qi. Use three liang of Guizhi and Shengjiang, and five liang of Zhishi, to dispel cold, descend rebellious qi, and break up accumulation.
Yu Xi's commentary: Stagnation below the heart occurs because Heart Yang is deficient and fails to distribute, allowing Yin pathogens to usurp the space below the heart, causing stagnation. You Zaijing states: "Various rebellions" refer to phlegm-fluids and rebellious qi.

Treats heart pain radiating to the back, and back pain radiating to the heart. This pill is the primary treatment.
Wutou (Radix Aconiti Lateralis Preparata) (1 fen, processed). Shujiao (Pericarpium Zanthoxyli), Ganjiang (Rhizoma Zingiberis Secatum) (each 1 liang). Fuzi (Radix Aconiti Lateralis Preparata) (0.5 liang). Chishizhi (Lapis Kaolinitis) (1 liang).
Grind the above five herbs into powder, mix with honey to form pills the size of paulownia seeds. Take one pill before meals, three times a day. If ineffective, slightly increase the dosage.
