按《难经》太乙日游,以冬至日居叶蛰宫,数所在从一处至九日复反,如是无已,终而复始。
The acupoints Naohu (Brain's Door), Xinhui (Fontanel Meeting), and Shenting (Spirit Courtyard); Yuzhen (Jade Pillow), Luoque (Netting Away), to Chengling (Receiving Spirit); Luxi (Temple Rest), Jiaosun (Corner Sun), Chengqi (Below the Eye); Shendao (Spirit Path), Lingtai (Spirit Platform), and Danzhong (Chest Center) are clear.
Shuifen (Water Divider), Shenque (Spirit Gate), and Huiyin (Meeting of Yin) above; Henggu (Horizontal Bone) and Qichong (Qi Rush) should not be needled; Jimen (Gate of the Basket), Chengjin (Supporting Muscle), and Shouwuli (Hand Five Li); Sanyangluo (Three Yang Network) to Qingling (Clear Spirit). For pregnant women, Hegu (Union Valley) is unsuitable for needling, and Sanyinjiao (Three Yin Intersection) is also generally considered so; Shimen (Stone Gate) acupuncture and moxibustion must be avoided, as it renders a woman unable to conceive for life. Additionally, Yunmen (Cloud Gate) and Jiutui (Eagle Tail); Quepen (Collarbone Basin) deep needling causes severe dizziness for both patient and practitioner; Jianjing (Shoulder Well) deep needling also causes fainting, but urgently tonifying Zusanli (Leg Three Miles) can restore calmness. Needling into the five Zang organs or the Gallbladder leads to death; if Chongyang (Beating Tide) bleeds, one must seek help from Mingyong (Acupoint for Bright Use/Emergency - *Note: Context implies emergency intervention or fatal consequence, often interpreted as needing specific rescue or indicating severity*). Haiquan (Sea Spring), Quanliao (Cheekbone Hollow), Rumen (Breast Gate), and points on the nipple; needling the spine and penetrating the spinal marrow results in kyphosis deformity. Yuji (Fish Border), Xiangu (Sunken Valley), inner thigh; Xibin (Kneecap), Jinhuai (Tendon Meeting), and Kidney Meridian points; three cun below the axilla and groin; eye sockets and joints are all subject to these prohibitions.
Yamen (哑门), Fengfu (Wind Mansion), Tianzhu (Heavenly Pillar) stand high; Chengguang (Receiving Light), Linqi (Gallbladder Shu/Tea Tree - *Context refers to Gallbladder meridian point Tongziliao or similar, here likely referring to specific head points*), Touwei (Head Corner) are level; Sizhukong (Bamboo Forest Hollow), Cuanzhu (Gathered Bamboo), Jingming (Bright Eyes); Suliao (Nose Tip), Heliao (Grain Hollow), Yingxiang (Receiving Fragrance) follow procedures. Quanliao (Cheekbone Hollow), Xiaguan (Below Joint), Renying (Human Pulse) require caution; Tianyou (Heavenly Opening), Tianfu (Heavenly Granary), to Zhourong (Week Flourish); Yuanlin (Abyss Liquid), Ruzhong (Breast Center), below Jiutui (Eagle Tail); Fu'ai (Abdominal Grief), searching behind the arm for Jianzhen (Shoulder Truth). Yangchi (Yang Pool), Zhongchong (Middle Peak), Shaoshang (Lesser Shang); Yuji (Fish Border), Jingqu (Channel Source) proceed in order; Diwu (Earth Five), Yangguan (Yang Pass), Jizhong (Spine Center) govern; Yinbai (Yin White), Lougu (Leaking Valley) connect to Yinlingquan (Yin River Gathering). Tiaokou (Strip Mouth), Dubi (Cow's Nose) up to Yinshi (Yin Market); Futu (Rabbit Thigh), Biguan (Thigh Gate), Shenmai (Shen Pulse) welcome; Weizhong (Center of Crease), Yinmen (Yin Gate), Chengfu (Supporting Flesh) above; Baihuan (White Ring), Xinshu (Heart Shu) belong to the same meridian. Moxibustion without needling, needling without moxibustion; the Classic of Needling has warned this repeatedly. Quack doctors using both simultaneously merely inflict torture upon patients like scorching irons.
Taiyi Nine Palaces Diagram
The method: Count starting from Winter Solstice and Start of Spring, ending at Start of Winter and the Central Palace, then restart from Winter Solstice.
Start of Spring begins with Tianliu (Heavenly Stay) on Gen (Mountain) palace; Wu Yin, Si Chou days seek the left foot; Spring Equinox is Cangmen (Storehouse Gate) on Zhen (Thunder) left flank; Yi Mao day sees it as an enemy (taboo). Start of Summer is Wu Chen, Si Si days on Xun (Wind) palace; Yinluo (Yin Luo) star in Central Palace worries the left hand (taboo); Summer Solstice is Shangtian (High Heaven) on Bing Wu day, directly corresponding to Yinghou (Chest-Throat) Li (Fire) head. Start of Autumn is Xuanwei (Mysterious Depot) on Kun (Earth) right hand; Wu Shen, Ji Wei days upstream; Autumn Equinox is Cangguo (Storehouse Fruit) on Dui (Lake) west; Xin You day plans from the right flank (taboo). Start of Winter adds Xinluo (New Luo) to the right foot; Wu Xu, Si Hai days gather in Qian (Heaven) position; Winter Solstice approaches Yeze (Leaf Stagnation) in Kan (Water) direction; Ren Zi day flows through Yaoqiao (Waist-Pelvis) lower orifice. The five Zang and six Fu organs and umbilical abdomen; Zhaoyao (Shining Star) Wu Si days are in the Central State. When treating carbuncles and ulcers, one must avoid these days; violating these Heavenly Taboos makes diseases difficult to cure. According to the Classic of Difficult Issues (Nan Jing), Taiyi travels daily; on Winter Solstice it resides in Yeze Palace, counting from one place to nine places and returning, continuing endlessly in a cycle.
