Tonification Method: "Push" involves using both hands' fingers to stroke downwards along the needle's direction, performed three times, also known as "Ji Shen". When probing the needle with the hand, if the skin outside feels tight, immediately apply the "Na" method (inserting the needle inward).
"Po" involves pressing gently along the needle with the thumb. After performing this insertion three times, if the Qi has not yet arrived, use both fingers to gently advance the needle three times to induce Qi arrival; this is tonification.
Sedation Method: Rotating the needle handle to tighten it constitutes the application method. "Scrape" involves using the middle finger to press on the needle head and scraping upwards on the needle handle with the thumbnail, performed three times. "Lift/Reveal" involves operating on the mechanism (connection point) with both fingers, three times, which is also called sedation. "Peel" involves lifting the needle head with both fingers, pulling up three times to induce Qi arrival; this is sedation.
It is further stated: For males, sedation involves curling the thumb inward, while tonification involves pushing the thumb forward. For females, sedation involves pushing the thumb forward, while tonification involves curling the thumb inward.
Ziwu Liuzhu (Hourly Flow of Qi according to Ziwu system) combined with Feiteng Bagong (Flying Spirit Eight Methods), selecting functions among the Twelve Acupoints, treating diseases without exception, transferring pathogens and relieving pain with divine efficacy, regulating various diseases of the Five Zang Organs, effectively promoting the circulation of Qi and Blood in the San Jiao (Triple Burner), adding coolness, removing heat, reducing pain, and through finger movements, unblocking meridians to save the world.
The marital relationship in the world embodies Yin and Yang; the secret of acupuncture techniques determines the movement of Yin and Yang Qi. Students should not doubt; by using the Shen Ying Feiteng methods, one can select acupoints to treat diseases. If you do not reveal this true profound secret, where men and women use opposite directions for treatment, those who master this can become divine physicians.
Qiufu's Thirteen Ghost Points for dispelling ghosts: Simultaneously needling three or four points allows ghosts to naturally communicate; additionally, nine points are selected left and right, so that Ghost Points naturally benefit the body. The first needle targets Guigong (Ren Zhong, GV26) with sedation; the second treats Jiache (ST6, Ghost Cheek); the third targets Chengjiang (CV24, Ghost Lips); the fourth targets Shangxing (GV23, Ghost Head); the fifth targets Lingdao (HT4) to calm the Ghost Heart; the sixth uses Yinjiao (SP6) with three moxa cones; the seventh and eighth target Chize (LU5) and Shaoze (SI1). Once all Thirteen Ghost Points are needled, rampant evil spirits will vanish without a trace.
Lifting, pressing, advancing, twisting, following, and foot-assisted techniques constitute Tonification; retreating, moving, lifting, and scraping constitute Sedation. Rapid lifting, sedation, and scraping feel like cold water; rapid pressing, twisting, and rotating feel like hot fire. For sedation, inhale first then exhale to obtain the effect; for tonification, exhale first then inhale. Deepening first then shallow is used in sedation, which applies similarly in Spring and Summer—this is a true profound secret. Shallow first then deep is truly tonification, applied in Autumn and Winter according to specific principles. If numbness occurs during Qi movement, it indicates Qi flow; if pain occurs during Blood movement, the needle technique is superb. How to know if Qi moves upward? Scrape upwards seven times and tremble/lift seven times; if Qi moves downward, still target downward points, scraping and trembling seven times to drain the Qi downward. For tonification, push the thumb forward; for sedation, retract the thumb backward. Advancing inward while twisting resembles burning; retreating outward while twisting is correct. *Qiongyao Shenshu* (Divine Book of Qiongyao) is a priceless treasure; I swear that non-heirs shall face extinction.
