Wind, wind-heat, phlegm-dampness, cold, and true headache (Zhentoutong). The hands and feet turn cyan up to the joints. This is a death syndrome and is incurable.
Apply moxibustion to disperse cold. If the pulse is floating (Fu), needle Wangu (SI4) and Jinggu (BL64). If the pulse is long, needle Hegu (LI4) and Chongyang (ST42). If the pulse is wiry (Xian), needle Yangchi (TE4), Fengfu (GV16), and Fengchi (GB20).
Qi deficiency, blood deficiency, kidney disease, wind-dampness, damp-heat, blood stasis, cold qi, and qi stagnation.
Blood stasis in the lower part: bleed at Weizhong (BL40). Moxibustion on Shenshu (BL23) and Kunlun (BL60). Additionally, use the tips of Fuzi (Aconiti Lateralis Radix Preparata), Wutou (Aconiti Radix), Nanxing (Arisaematis Rhizoma), Shexiang (Moschus), Xionghuang (Realgar), Zhangnao (Borneolum Syntheticum), and Dingxiang (Caryophylli Flos), processed with refined honey into pills. Dissolve in ginger juice to form a paste, apply to the palm, warm it, and rub the affected area.
Liver fire excess, wood qi excess, presence of dead blood (stasis), phlegm accumulation, liver tension.
Needle Qiuxu (GB40) and Zhongdu (GB37).
Presence of wind-cold, qi and blood deficiency, food stagnation transforming into heat.
Needle Taixi (KI3), Ranggu (KI2), Chize (LU5), Xingjian (LR2), Jianli (CV11), Dadu (SP2), Taibai (SP3), Zhongwan (CV12), Shenmen (HT7), and Yongquan (KI1).
Mainly treats blood heat, stomach heat, wind-cold, damp-heat, and parasitic infestation (e.g., intestinal worms).
Points: Hegu (LI4), Neiting (ST44), Fu Bai (GB12), Yang Bai (GB14), San Jian (SI3).
Liver qi excess, wind-heat, phlegm-heat, blood stasis transforming into heat, blood excess with qi congestion.
Sizhukong (TE23), Shangxing (GV23), Baihui (GV20), and Cuanzhu (BL2) are used to vent pathogenic factors. If there is pain, use Fengchi (GB20) and Hegu (LI4). Zhang Zihe treated eye diseases using Shenting (GV24), Shangxing (GV23), and Qian Ding (GV21).
Moxibustion is applicable for severe cold invading the brain causing eye pain, or when wind-dampness combats each other, or due to wind pathogen invasion. All these can be treated. If there is an ocular nebula (corneal opacity), take Erjian (LI2) and Hegu (LI4). For pediatric malnutrition eye disease (Gan Yan), moxa Hegu (LI4) bilaterally, one moxa cone per point.
Qi deficiency combined with alternating chills and fever, food stagnation, wind pathogen, fright pathogen, heat-dampness, sinking of yang qi, and phlegm accumulation. Treatment should be differentiated. Mild dysentery is treated with draining methods; severe cases require moxibustion.
For sinking pulse/condition, apply moxibustion. Points: Pishu (BL20), Guanyuan (CV4), Shenshu (BL23), Fuliou (KI7), Fu Ai (SP15), Changqiang (GV1), Taixi (KI3), Dachangshu (BL25), Zusanli (ST36), Qishe (ST11), Zhongwan (CV12). For white dysentery, use Dachangshu (BL25); for red dysentery, use Xiaochangshu (BL27).
Presence of wind-summerheat, mountain miasma, chronic malaria, malaria mass (splenomegaly), cold-damp bi syndrome, five-zang malaria, and five-fu malaria.
Needle Hegu (LI4), Quchi (LI11), and Gongsun (SP4).
Moxibustion applies to both men and women. At the first spinous process level of Dazhui (GV14), needle first, then moxa 21 cones. Effect is immediate. Alternatively, moxa at the third spinous process level.
