(If acupuncture or moxibustion is performed without illness, it is called "Ni" [Reversal/Violation].)
Newborns who have no illness should not undergo acupuncture as in "Ni Moxibustion". Doing so will disturb the Five Viscera. Due to fear, epilepsy may develop. In the regions of the Yellow River, Luo River, and Guanzhong, the land is mostly cold, and infants often suffer from this condition. Therefore, three days after birth, people often use preventive moxibustion. However, in the warm regions of Wu and Shu, this disease does not exist. Nowadays, people indiscriminately apply moxibustion regardless of north or south, which often causes harm. It is better to let nature take its course to avoid premature death or accidental disaster.
