This acupoint is the root for treating the five types of hemorrhoids. ○ An empirical prescription: For "summer wasting" (chronic weakness in summer) causing emaciation in youths, moxibustion on this point is most effective. ○ For dysentery with red and white discharge, moxa cones totaling one hundred applications are burned on the tip of the coccyx; more is better. Also for leakage, five types of hemorrhoids, and parasitic worms eroding the lower region, needle 0.3 cun, take with the patient prone, using intense pain as the threshold; moxibustion is also good, thirty applications daily for seven days, but efficacy is inferior to needling. Also, burning seven applications on the tailbone vertebra is divine for treating rectal prolapse. *Qianjin Fang* calls it Guizhi (Turtle Tail), which is Qionggu (End Bone). *Qianjin Yifang* records: Moxibustion combined with Chengshan (BL58) is best for hemorrhoids (*Yulong Fu*).
