The flow and distribution of meridians and qi involve intersections, exterior-interior relationships, inside-outside relations, and the coordination of Branches and Stems. Various acupuncture classic diagrams and explanations have been analyzed and expounded; therefore, I proceed to narrate the general outline. Consulting with the Master and verifying the principles, although my strength is insufficient and there are discrepancies in understanding, after receiving further teachings and key instructions, I have achieved clarity like melting ice or bursting streams. My mind now possesses knowledge, fortunately avoiding self-contradiction. Regarding acupuncture at acupoints, each has its specific meridian basis, one must investigate the associated diseases and syndromes, observe daily and hourly taboos, and understand tonification and sedation for deficiency and excess conditions. One must not fail to examine these deeply, clearly understand the segmentation of meridians and the locations of acupoints. By doing so, out of every hundred needlings, few will be erroneous.
