Radix Rehmanniae Preparata (Shengdi) 2 qian, Radix Scrophulariae (Yuanshen) 1.5 qian, Fructus Aurantii (Maidong), Caulis Akebiae (Mutong), Folium Scutellariae (Huangqin), Semen Lepidii et Descurainiae (Tingli), Cortex Mori Radicis (Sangbaipi), Rhizoma Anemarrhenae (Tianhuafen), Cortex Lycii Radicis (Digupi), each of the above 1 qian, decoct and take orally, highly effective.

Apply seventeen layers of blue cloth to the area below the umbilicus, and iron it with a large pot of boiling liquor (Baijiu).
Another prescription: Take 3 jin of lean meat from the hind leg of a male pig, remove skin and fat/oil, cut into thin slices. Scrub the pan extremely clean with ash, heat until red-hot, place the meat and liquor in, stir-fry until dry, add more liquor and continue frying. Repeat this process seven times, then set aside. First, stir-fry old rice until yellow, decoct to make soup, and swallow the fried meat slices with the soup. Urination will immediately become unobstructed, and swelling will subside accordingly; extremely effective.

For women suffering from urinary retention due to "Zhuanbao" (cystocele/uterine prolapse compressing the bladder), the first to fourth prescriptions for urinary obstruction mentioned above are all effective, with the first being particularly excellent.
Another prescription: For cases where urine is retained due to forced holding, or where only drops of blood appear after urination, decoct concentrated juice of Pinellia Areca Nut (Jian Binglang), mix with white honey, and take orally; miraculously effective.

A certain woman suffered from intense heart-heat like fire; whenever she felt hot, the heat would enter the Small Intestine meridian, causing an urgent need to urinate, accompanied by stool discharge, feeling unsatisfactory. She suffered for three years with no effect from various treatments. Her pulse was slippery and rapid. This was caused by Ministerial Fire (Xianghuo) entering the Small Intestine meridian. Later, she was treated with Chuanxiong Rhizome (Chuanxiong), Radix Angelicae Sinensis (Danggui), Radix Paeoniae Alba (Baishao), Radix Rehmanniae Preparata (Shengdi), Cortex Phellodendri (Huangbai, stir-fried), Fructus Foeniculi (Xiaohui), and Rhizoma Aucklandiae (Muxiang). After taking four doses of the decoction, she recovered.

This is disharmony between Heart and Spleen. When urine remains on the ground for a moment, it turns white like rice water, due to turbidity of Kidney Qi. Use Zhen Chuanpo (Cortex Magnoliae Officinalis, processed with ginger juice) 1 liang, Zhen Fuling (Poria)...

This is food stagnation leading to aversion to food. Raw Yizhiren (Fructus Alpiniae Oxyphyllae) 1.5 qian, Guangpi (Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae), Shanzha (Fructus Crataegi, stir-fried), Zexie (Rhizoma Alismatis) each 1 qian, Zhen Fuling (Poria), Baishao (Radix Paeoniae Alba, stir-fried) each...

This is insufficiency of Bladder Qi. Use Yizhiren (Fructus Alpiniae Oxyphyllae, salt-stir-fried) and Wuyao (Radix Linderae) in equal parts, grind into powder, boil Chinese Yam (Shanyao) in wine to form pills the size of wutong seeds. Take 70 pills per dose.
Another prescription: For frequent nocturia with reluctance to get up, eat several walnuts before sleep; very effective.
Another prescription: Biexie (Rhizoma Dioscoreae Hypoglaucae) 1 liang, soak thoroughly in water, stir-fry with 5 qian of salt, remove salt, grind Biexie into powder. Take 2 qian each time, mixed with boiling water. Also wash the anus several times daily with scallion water; it will heal. Even for excessive urination with unbearable pain in the urethra, it is extremely effective. Alternatively, use 1 jin of Biexie ground into powder, mixed with wine to form pills the size of wutong seeds, take 70 pills per dose.
