The symptoms manifest as redness around the four sides of the lesion with a black center. Take equal parts of *Luffa* leaf (Si Gua Ye), scallion with roots (Lian Xu Cong), and Chinese chive (Jiu Cai), place them together in a stone mortar, pound into a paste, and extract the juice. Mix with hot wine and take orally. Apply the residue to the affected area: if the Ding sore is on the left hand, apply to the left axilla; on the right hand, to the right axilla; on the left foot, to the left hip/groin; on the right foot, to the right hip/groin; in the middle of the body, to the heart/umbilicus region. Secure with cloth bandages. Wait until the red lines under the skin turn completely white, indicating the dispersal of toxicity. If tidal fever occurs, this method is also used. It is necessary to have someone hold the patient to prevent trembling or falling, otherwise rescue would be difficult.
Additionally, for Fish Umbilicus Sore (Yu Qi Chuang), characterized by a black head, broken skin, flowing yellow fluid, and surrounding edematous exudate, use Snake Molt (She Tui) calcined to preserve its properties, ground into fine powder. Mix with egg white (Ji Zi Qing) and apply externally; it is extremely effective.
If there is restless movement of hands and feet, irritability, madness, vomiting to the point of death, urgently take Licorice Node (Gan Cao Jie), Mung Bean Powder (Lu Dou Fen), and Cinnabar (Zhu Sha) in equal parts. Grind into fine powder. Take three qian per dose, mixed with boiling water to calm the condition.
Another prescription: Grind Cicada Slough (Chan Tui) into powder. Take one qian mixed with honey and water. Also, mix Cicada Slough powder with saliva and apply topically.
For Red Thread Ding (Hong Si Ding), take a small amount of Pot Bottom Ash (Guo Di Hui) and Black Ink (Hei Mo), along with one qian of Black Carp Scale (Hei Yu Lin). Calcine and grind into fine powder. Blend with Sesame Oil (Ma You). Use a brush to trace along the red thread line. At the advancing end (Zou Tou), apply one or two pieces of Black Carp Scale. The progression will stop. The red threads will gradually dissipate, and the Ding sore will resolve internally.
In rural areas where medication is unavailable, crushing *Colocasia esculenta* leaf (Ci Gu Ye) to extract juice and tracing the red line is also good; truly a excellent prescription.
Another method: For Red Thread Ding, puncture the Ding head, squeeze out all foul blood. Pound *Spirodela polyrrhiza* (Fu Ping Cao) into a paste and apply to both ends (the head and the tip of the thread); this is also effective.
To treat Blood Ding (Xue Ding) with bleeding, drink one cup of pure Sesame Oil (Zhen Ma You); bleeding stops immediately after ingestion.
To treat Ding on the nose, mash rotten soft chicken manure with Lychee flesh (Li Zhi Rou) and apply; effective immediately.
Additionally, for Ding on the ear or nose, ignite Cai Smoke or Huang Smoke (tobacco smoke), extinguish the flame, and fumigate the area.
For Snake Head Ding (She Tou Ding), apply one small loach (Ni Qiu) or slug (Yan You) pounded into a paste.
Another prescription: Mix one qian of finely ground Bletilla Rhizome (Bai Ji) with three fen of Toad Venom (Chan Su). Blend well and apply using egg white; all are extremely effective.
To treat Dark Ding (An Ding), where the patient is delirious and manic with a protruding red sore head, urgently obtain two chi of root from the Chinese Tallow Tree (Wu Bai Shu) growing on a traveled path. Peel and pound into a paste. Mix with Well Water (Jing Hua Shui) and drink one cup. After ingestion, defecating once or twice leads to recovery.
To treat Fish Umbilicus Ding (Yu Qi Ding), make pills with Vermilion (Yin Zhu) the size of Euryale Seed (Qian Shi). Take one pill per dose, washed down with warm wine.
To treat Ding sores with protruding flesh, calcinate Dried Plum Flesh (Wu Mei Rou) to preserve its properties, grind into powder, and sprinkle on the sore; it heals immediately.
Generally, if a patient with Ding sore accidentally consumes pork, it is considered incurable by standard methods. However, urgently drinking juice extracted from Banana Root (Ba Jiao Gen) can save the life.
