Bai Ju (White Abscess) is characterized by unchanged skin color, absence of heat sensation, and lack of pain. Take one jin (approx. 500g) of Artemisia argyi leaves, five qian (approx. 18.75g) each of Realgar (Realgar) and Orpiment (Orpiment), decoct in water for half a day, then pound into a paste. Apply when warm, then re-decoct and re-apply, changing frequently over ten times. Continuous application until the patient perceives pain indicates potential recovery.
Grind Luoxi Duanshi (a mineral drug) into powder, mix with Tung oil to form a mass. Take one live softshell turtle, remove its head, pour the blood into the ash/powder mixture, add good aged vinegar, and mix evenly into a paste. Apply to the sore; it will scab and heal.
Another prescription: Use Longyan Rou (Longan Aril) in any quantity. If the patient is male, chew the longan meat with a woman's mouth; if female, chew with a man's mouth until mashed.
Additionally, hekou Shengji San (He Kou Muscle-Growing Powder): Collect cattle dung from mountains that has been naturally bleached by wind and rain over a long period. Grind into fine powder and sprinkle on the wound three to five times. This method is simple and highly effective.
Another prescription: Calcinate Testudinis Carapax et Plastrum (Turtle Shell) until charred, grind into powder, and sprinkle on the wound to promote tissue regeneration and wound closure.
For chronic wounds that fail to heal over many years and exude yellow fluid, dry Winter Melon Leaves (Benincasae Fructus Pericarpium), grind into powder, and sprinkle on the affected area.
Another prescription: Burn Hibiscus mutabilis flowers until charred but retain their medicinal properties, grind into powder, and sprinkle. It is effective even for wounds as large as a bowl.
Another prescription: Mix one liang (approx. 37.5g) of Gypsum Fibrosum (Shu Shigao), five qian of Minium (Huangdan), and three qian of Elephant Skin (Xiangpi, stir-fried with Talcum until scorched). Grind into fine powder and apply to the wound for cure.
For malignant sores that persist without healing, drink wine infused with Honeysuckle Flower (Jinyinhua), or decoct Honeysuckle Flowers as tea and drink daily. Chronic sores will eventually heal.
Another prescription: Take a handful of Honeysuckle branches with roots and leaves, add five qian of Realgar, and two bowls of water. Decoct in a jar. Seal the jar mouth with six to seven layers of paper, pierce a small hole in the center. Position the sore over the hole and fumigate with the hot steam for approximately three shichen (six hours). After yellow fluid drains out, apply Shengji San (Muscle-Growing Powder); this is invariably effective.
