(Attached to Dysphagia)
Zhengqi Sanhe San (Upright Qi Three-Harmony Powder)

Soreness and pain in hands and feet; taking warm herbs causes qi to rush upward resulting in stagnation in the chest and heart, with sluggish qi; taking cold herbs causes deficiency-cold in the zang organs. This formula regulates and smooths the Triple Burner, warms and nourishes the four limbs, and harmonizes the body.
Dried Perilla Leaf (Luo Le Ye, 1 liang), Dried Papaya (Mu Gua, 1 fen), Costus Root (Mu Xiang), Clove (Ding Xiang, 0.5 liang each), Notopterygium Rhizome (Qiang Huo, 3 liang), White Cardamom Seed (Bai Dou Kou), Tsaoko Fruit (Cao Guo), Ligusticum Rhizome (Chuan Xiong, 0.5 liang).

When caused by qi stagnation, it is called "Qi Ge" (Qi Dysphagia), with a slow and choppy pulse. When caused by food retention, it is called "Shi Ge" (Food Dysphagia), with a short and choppy pulse. Both conditions are suitable for this formula. For Food Dysphagia, Shenqu Wan is also appropriate (formula follows later).
