[Indications] Treats white turbidity (cloudy white urine), applicable to both husband and wife as well as children. Specifically treats white turbidity, not for treating strangury (Lin syndrome).
**Noumiao San (Magnolia Bark Powder)**:
*Houpo* (Cortex Magnoliae Officinalis), *Muli* (Concha Ostreae), *Baizhu* (Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae) (each half liang).
Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. Take two qian with rice water on an empty stomach. Administer two to three times daily.
**Discussion**: The Small Intestine is the palace of reception and transformation, responsible for conducting fluids. If initially one feels that the urine is red-yellow and gradually becomes obstructed, accompanied by distension and fullness in the umbilical and abdominal regions, this indicates heat accumulation in the Heart Meridian transmitting to the Small Intestine.
**Chaguo Fang (Tea-Wrapped Powder)**:
*Chaye* (Folium Camelliae Sinensis) (one liang), *Huashi* (Talcum).
Grind the above together into a fine powder. Take two qian mixed with boiling water, take warm.
[Indications] Treats dribbling strangury with pain.
**Shiwei Fang**:
*Shiwei* (Folium Pyrosiae), *Cheqianzi* (Semen Plantaginis) (equal parts).
Grind the above into a coarse powder. Take five qian per dose, add two zhan of water, decoct until one zhan remains, remove dregs, and take warm.
[Indications] White turbid urine with difficulty in urination, occasionally accompanied by pain.
**Chifuling Fang**:
*Chifuling* (Poria Cocos with Red Cortex), *Chenxiang* (Lignum Aquilariae Resinatum) (each one liang); another prescription uses *Hupo* (Electrum) instead of Chenxiang.
Grind the above into a fine powder. Take two qian per dose with plain boiled water, after meals and before bedtime.
[Indications] Treats coagulated and obstructed urine.
**Xiangfu Diyu Fang**:
*Xinfuzi* (Rhizoma Cyperi Rotundi, fresh), *Diyu* (Radix Sanguisorbae, fresh).
Cut the above into pieces. Decoct each separately to obtain one zhan of liquid. Drink the Xiangfuzi decoction first, then the Diyu decoction, until finished. If ineffective, repeat.
**Zaojiao Fang**:
Burn *Zaojiao* (Fructus Gleditsiae Sinensis) to ash, grind into a fine powder. Take two to three qian per dose mixed with congee water, at any time.
**Xuancagen Fang**:
*Hupo* (Electrum) (ground into powder).
Take this single ingredient on an empty stomach, mixed with concentrated juice of Xuanguangen (Rhizoma Hemerocallis Citrinae) decocted strongly, two qian per dose. Urination will become unobstructed after administration.
**Nuomigan Fang**:
One bundle of pure Nuomigan (Caulis Oryzae Sativae Glutinosa), remove ears and roots, use only the stalk. Burn in a clean vessel to ash. Before bedtime, take one he (a unit of volume), soak in liquid for a long time, clarify and remove dregs, drink while warm in one go. The taste resembles lye water.
[Emergency] Or if diuretics fail due to excessive draining, leading to sudden suffocation and impending death, use two sheng of salt.
Stir-fry the above salt in a pan, wrap in cloth and cotton silk, and apply hot compress to below the umbilicus. Urination will gradually become unobstructed shortly thereafter. Then use the following prescription.
**Another Prescription**:
Fill the umbilicus with salt, form large moxa cones, and moxibustion until heat is felt.
**Another Prescription**:
Take a handful of pure Nuomikang (Husk of Glutinous Rice), roast until soft and cooked before bedtime, consume, and follow with warm wine.
[Indications] Treats edema and fullness with difficult urination.
**Chixiaodou Fang**:
*Chixiaodou* (Semen Phaseoli Uradis, roasted熟).
Grind into fine powder, mix with wine, take two qian before meals. Adding scallion and white wine is especially good.
[Indications] Treats frequent urination, totaling one dou day and night.
**Lujiao Wan (Deer Horn Pill)**:
*Lujiao* (Cornu Cervi Pantotrichum) (split open, roasted until scorched yellow, ground into fine powder).
Grind into powder, make pills using flour paste decocted in wine, size of Sophora japonica seeds. Take fifty pills per dose with rice water on an empty stomach, three times daily.
**Case of Guan Ge Syndrome (Obstruction and Reversal): Obstruction of both Large and Small Intestines (Da Cheng Qi Tang)**.
The wife of Zhao Lingyi, an official of Fengzhi, suddenly experienced vomiting and reflux, obstruction of both stool and urine, restlessness and confusion, gradual coldness of the four limbs, and absence of pulse. After one and a half days, one dose of Da Cheng Qi Tang (Major Order the Qi Decoction) was administered. By midnight, bowel movement gradually became unobstructed, and the pulse gradually reappeared. She stabilized the next day. This is Guan Ge disease, which is extremely difficult to treat; this was the only case I have seen.
