2. Common causes of epigastric pain include Spleen-Stomach deficiency-cold, blood stasis obstruction, Stomach Yin deficiency, direct invasion of cold pathogen, failure to transform cold stagnation, food stagnation, phlegm-food obstruction, and Liver-Stomach disharmony.
(1) Direct invasion of cold pathogen: Commonly seen in acute abdominal pain. Due to cold weather and consumption of cold foods, sudden severe abdominal pain occurs, which is aggravated by pressure, accompanied by cold hands and feet, and a deep, slow or wiry-tight pulse. This indicates cold pathogen invasion and food stagnation. The treatment principle is to warm the middle and purge accumulation. Use the Chinese patent medicine "Yibazhua" (One-Grab), one bag per dose. Alternatively, use Dahuang Fuzi Xixin Tang (Rhubarb, Aconite, and Asarum Decoction) modified: Dahuang (Rhubarb Root) 3g, Xixin (Asarum) 3g, Fuzi (Prepared Aconite Root) 9g, Ganjiang (Dried Ginger) 9g, Chuanjiao (Sichuan Pepper) 9g.
