This hemorrhoid arises approximately one cun from the lateral side of the anus, resembling a carbuncle (ju) or furuncle (jie). After the formation of a pus head, purulent discharge flows continuously without drying. Several days later, the affected area swells and suppurates. Months later, another nodule rises and suppurates, with continuous purulent discharge. After perforating and ulcerating into three or four holes, a callus-like structure forms internally. The treatment involves internal administration of Zhongjiu Wan (Nine-Center Pill) combined with Huaijiao Wan (Sophora Fruit Pill), and external insertion of medicated threads. The callus should fall off within approximately three days. San'ya Cao (Sida acuta) is used to probe and疏通 (dredge) the passages, ensuring they communicate and merge into a single cavity. The area is then cleansed with a fumigation and washing decoction, and Jiawei Tianran San (Modified Natural Powder) is applied to achieve healing.
This type of hemorrhoid is extremely similar to Ji Guan Zhi (Rooster Comb Hemorrhoid), characterized by pruritus and serous discharge. The treatment method is identical to that for Ji Guan Zhi.
This hemorrhoid results from deficiency of Qi and Blood, compounded by damp-heat invading the Large Intestine. During an episode, the rectum may prolapse by approximately two to three cun. The hemorrhoidal nodule is roughly the size of a cotton seed, causing severe swelling and pain. Subsequently, the scrotum gradually swells, forming a pus head that ulcerates. Symptoms are triggered by fatigue, often presenting with continuous purulent discharge and reduced appetite. The treatment follows the previous protocol: internal administration of formulas to support the interior and drain pus, external application of Ma Liang Gao (Hemp Cooling Ointment) to alleviate pain, and concurrent intake of Zhongjiu Wan and Jin Gong Er Wan (Golden Centipede Two-Pill). Seven days later, upon observing pus drainage from the fistula, dry pus-draining medicated threads are inserted. If pus continues after three days, small medicated threads are re-inserted. By the seventh day, the callus will inevitably detach. If urine flows from the fistula rather than the glans penis at this stage, a disc made of yellow wax can be placed into the hole, and Jiawei Tianran San is used to pack the fistula. A Jiedu Gao (Detoxification Ointment) is applied externally. It is advisable to consume little tea water, which naturally reduces urine volume. Through several such packing procedures, within half a month, healing can typically be achieved.
This hemorrhoid arises inside the anal margin, with several nodules lodged on the anal rim. They prolapse during defecation and retract upon standing. Swelling and pain occur during fatigue or excessive sexual activity/alcohol consumption. The treatment involves cleaning and applying topical medicine when the nodules prolapse. A medicated thread is tied around the base of the hemorrhoid, and Huarou Gao (Flesh-Dissolving Ointment) is applied. This dual approach ensures the nodules will detach. After detachment, fumigation and washing are performed to promote tissue regeneration and flatten the wound surface.
