治瘦弱少气，梦遗泄精，目视不明，精极之证。（五劳之外，又有六极，谓气
极筋极骨极肌极也。精生气，气生神。精极则无以生气，故瘦弱少气，气弱则不能
目不明。精气不固，水不能制火，故遗泄而精愈耗也。）
鹿角（十斤） 龟板（五斤） 枸杞（一斤） 人参（一斤） 先将鹿角龟板锯截，刮
净水浸，桑火
龟为介虫之长，得阴气最全。（介虫阴类。） 鹿角遇夏至即解，禀纯阳之性。（阴生
解。） 且不两月，长至一二十斤，骨之速生，无过于此者，（人身唯骨难长。）故能峻补
血。两者皆用气血以补气血，所谓补之以其类也。人参大补元气。枸杞滋阴助阳，此气血
阳交补之剂。气足则精固不遗，血足则视听明了。久服可以益寿，岂特已疾而已哉。（李
珍曰∶龟鹿皆灵而寿，龟首常藏向腹，能通任脉，故取其甲以补心补肾补血，以养阴也。
首常返向尾，能通督脉，故取其角以补命补精补气，以养阳也。）
补腰膝，壮筋骨，强肾阴，乌须发，价廉而功大。

女贞甘平，少阴之精，隆冬不凋，其色青黑，益肝补肾。（时珍曰∶女贞上品妙药，古

治遗精虚弱。补脾滋肾最佳。
芡实 莲肉（去心） 胶枣肉 胡桃肉（去衣） 熟地 等分。以猪肾六个，掺大茴香，
蒸极熟
参附子
治疗身体消瘦虚弱、气息短少，梦中遗精或滑精泄精，视物模糊不清，以及精气极度亏损的病证。（在五劳之外，还有六极的说法，指的是气极、筋极、骨极、肌极。精能化生气，气能化生神。如果精气极度亏损，就无法化生气，所以会出现身体消瘦虚弱、气息短少的症状；气弱则不能上注于目，导致视力不明。精气不固摄，肾水不能制约心火，所以出现遗精滑泄，使得精气进一步耗损。）
鹿角（十斤） 龟板（五斤） 枸杞子（一斤） 人参（一斤）。先将鹿角和龟板锯成段，刮洗干净后浸泡。桑木燃烧的火候来煎煮。
龟是介虫（有甲壳的水生动物）中的长者，得到了最完整的阴气。（介虫属于阴类。）鹿角在夏至时脱落，禀受了纯阳的性质。（阴气开始生长时阳气消退，此处指阴阳转换之理。）而且不到两个月，就能长到一二十斤重，骨骼生长速度之快，没有超过它的了。（人体中只有骨头最难生长。）所以能够峻补血液。这两者都是利用气血来补益人体的气血，这就是所谓的“以类相补”。人参大补元气。枸杞子滋阴并辅助助阳，这是气血同补、阴阳相交的方剂。气充足则精气固摄而不外泄，血充足则视力和听力清晰明了。长期服用可以延年益寿，哪里仅仅是治愈疾病而已呢？（李珍说：龟和鹿都是灵异且长寿的动物，龟头常常藏向腹部，能通任脉，所以取它的甲壳来补心、补肾、补血，以滋养阴液。龟头常常回转向尾部，能通督脉，所以取它的鹿角来补命门、补精、补气，以滋养阳气。）
补益腰膝，强壮筋骨，增强肾阴，使须发变黑，价格便宜而功效巨大。
冬青子（即女贞子的果实。冬至日采集，数量不限，阴干后用蜜酒拌匀蒸一夜，用粗布袋擦去外皮，晒干研成粉末，与前药混合）。
女贞子味甘性平，是少阴肾经的精气所化，隆冬时节也不凋谢，其颜色青黑，能益肝补肾。（李时珍说：女贞子是上品妙药，古方中很少见到用它来治疗遗精虚弱的病证，它是补脾滋肾的最佳药物。）
芡实 莲子肉（去掉芯） 胶枣肉 胡桃肉（去掉皮膜） 熟地黄 以上各等分。用六个猪肾，掺入大茴香，蒸至极其熟烂，与上述药末混合制成丸剂。
人参 附子
Treats conditions of emaciation and weakness, shortness of breath, nocturnal emission or seminal leakage, blurred vision, and the syndrome of extreme essence depletion. (Beyond the Five Exhaustions, there are also the Six Extremes, referring to Extreme Qi, Extreme Sinews, Extreme Bones, and Extreme Flesh. Essence generates Qi, and Qi generates Spirit. When essence is extremely depleted, it cannot generate Qi, hence emaciation, weakness, and shortness of breath; when Qi is weak, it cannot illuminate the eyes, leading to unclear vision. If essence and qi are not secured, Kidney Water fails to control Heart Fire, resulting in emission and leakage, further depleting the essence.)
Deer Antler (10 jin), Tortoise Plastron (5 jin), Lycium Fruit (1 jin), Ginseng Root (1 jin). First, saw the Deer Antler and Tortoise Plastron into sections, scrape clean, soak in water, and decoct using mulberry wood fire.
The tortoise is the leader among shell-bearing creatures (Medicinal animals with shells), possessing the most complete Yin Qi. (Shell-bearing creatures belong to the Yin category.) The deer antler sheds at the Summer Solstice, inheriting pure Yang nature. (When Yin begins to grow, Yang recedes.) Moreover, within less than two months, it can grow to ten or twenty jin. No bone grows faster than this. (In the human body, bones are the hardest to grow.) Therefore, it can vigorously tonify Blood. Both substances use Qi and Blood to tonify human Qi and Blood, which is what is meant by "tonifying with similar things." Ginseng Root greatly tonifies Yuan Qi. Lycium Fruit nourishes Yin and assists Yang. This is a formula that tonifies both Qi and Blood, facilitating the intersection of Yin and Yang. When Qi is sufficient, Essence is secured and does not leak; when Blood is sufficient, vision and hearing become clear. Long-term consumption can extend longevity, let alone merely curing diseases. (Li Zhen said: Turtles and deer are both spiritual and long-lived. The turtle's head often hides towards its abdomen, connecting with the Ren Mai (Conception Vessel); thus, its plastron is used to tonify the Heart, Kidneys, and Blood, to nourish Yin. The turtle's head often turns back towards its tail, connecting with the Du Mai (Governing Vessel); thus, its antler [note: text implies turtle shell/antler analogy or specific part usage] is used to tonify Mingmen, Essence, and Qi, to nourish Yang.)
Tonifies the waist and knees, strengthens sinews and bones, reinforces Kidney Yin, darkens beard and hair, is inexpensive yet highly effective.
Ilex Fructus (i.e., Ligustrum Lucidum Fruit). Harvested on the Winter Solstice, quantity不拘 (unrestricted), dried in shade, steamed overnight after mixing with honey and wine, rubbed to remove skin with a coarse bag, sun-dried and powdered, then mixed with the previous medicines.
Ligustrum Lucidum Fruit is sweet and neutral, representing the essence of the Shaoyin (Kidney) channel. It does not wither in deep winter, has a green-black color, benefits the Liver and tonifies the Kidneys. (Li Shizhen said: Ligustrum Lucidum is a superior miraculous medicine, rarely seen in ancient formulas for treating nocturnal emission and weakness; it is best for tonifying the Spleen and moistening the Kidneys.)
Euryale Seed, Lotus Seed Embryo (remove heart), Jujube Paste, Walnut Kernel (remove skin), Prepared Rehmannia Root. Equal parts. Use six pig kidneys, mix with Star Anise, steam until very soft, and combine with the above powders to make pills.
