[Collected Explanations] Xintian (Fontanelle Distension) refers to the swelling and protrusion of the fontanelle. The Spleen governs muscles; if breastfeeding or feeding is irregular, with no regularity in hunger and fullness, or if affected by Cold or Heat pathogens invading the Spleen system, causing Heat to rush upward and intertwine.
Dihuang Wan (Rehmannia Pill): Treats infants and children of all ages whose cranial sutures are open and fail to close. The Kidney governs Marrow, and the Brain is the Sea of Marrow. If Kidney Qi is deficient and Brain Marrow is insufficient, the cranial sutures remain open and cannot heal. Whenever Brain Marrow is lacking, it is like a tree without roots; within a thousand days, one will ultimately become disabled.

Grind the above into powder, mix with breast milk for topical application on the cranium. Reapply when dry; healing occurs when the infant's face becomes ruddy.
Another Prescription:
Burn snake slough until charred, grind into powder, and mix with marrow from the pig's mandible to apply on the vertex. Apply 3-4 times daily. Some people wrap the head with a cloth to protect it; over time, it closes naturally, which is also an effective method.
Another Prescription:
Donkey skull bone, quantity unspecified, burn to ash, grind finely, and mix with clarified sesame oil to apply into the cranial suture.
Yiyi Wan (Coix Seed Pill): Treats weakness of inherited Liver Qi, leading to contraction of two meridians and weakness in extending the hands.
