Qiqi Tang (Seven Qi Decoction)
Treats the condition where the seven emotions—joy, anger, worry, thought, sorrow, fear, and fright (Qi)—stagnate and erupt, causing mutual overacting among the Five Zang Organs, reversal of Yin and Yang, sudden chaotic disturbance in the abdomen, simultaneous vomiting and diarrhea, dizziness, chest and epigastric fullness and stuffiness, and throat obstruction.
Banxia (Pinelliae Rhizoma, washed with hot water, 5 liang) Houpo (Magnoliae Officinalis Cortex, remove coarse bark, stir-fried with ginger juice) Guixin (Cinnamomi Ramulus Cortex, each 3 liang) Baifuling (Poria, remove skin) Baishaoyao (Paeoniae Radix Alba, each 4 liang).
Crush the above herbs into a powder. For each dose, take 4 qian, add 1.5 zhan of water, 7 slices of fresh Ginger (Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens), and 1 Jujube (Jujubae Fructus). Decoct until reduced to 0.7 portion, strain, and take on an empty stomach.
Weiqi Wan (Stomach Qi Pill)
Treats excessive worry and thought leading to closure of Spleen and Lung Qi, accumulation of phlegm-fluids stagnating in the intestines and stomach, Qi stagnation in the Yin aspect, cold coagulation in the Yang aspect, reversal of Yin and Yang, (text missing here, likely describing symptoms such as alternating fever and chills or similar), cold limbs, dizziness, or recurrent fever. Also treats gastric cold in the elderly causing constipation, and morning sickness in pregnancy where food cannot be retained.
Sulfur (Shihuo, amount不拘, place inside pig intestine, tie both ends. Boil in rice washing water, wine, and child's urine, each 1 bowl, until half is dry, then remove, wash... [Text incomplete]).
[Text incomplete regarding processing steps].
Grind the above into powder, mix with natural juice of fresh Ginger (Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens) and steamed cake paste to form pills the size of Sophora seeds. Take 50 to 100 pills per dose on an empty stomach, with Rice Decoction (Mitan) mixed with a little fresh Ginger juice.
Hongwanzi (Red Pill)
Treats deficiency-cold of the Spleen and Stomach, irregular diet, retention of undigested food and fluids, accumulation of masses in the intestines and stomach. Or due to disharmony of Qi, exposure to cold-dampness, sudden onset of Huoluan (cholera-like disorder) with diarrhea, heart and abdominal pain, intestinal cramping and stabbing pain, and extreme fatigue. (Formula see Malaria category.)
Lizhong Tang (Regulate the Middle Decoction)
Add Qingpi (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium Viride) and Chenpi (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium), effective for cold in the epigastrium. (Formula see previous section.)
Mu Gua Tang (Papaya Decoction)
Treats Huoluan (cholera-like disorder) with incessant vomiting and diarrhea, generalized muscle spasms and cramps; if the spasms enter the abdomen, it leads to suffocation and fainting.
Mu Gua (Chaenomelis Fructus, 1 liang) Wuzhuyu (Evodiae Fructus, 0.5 liang, washed with hot water) Huixiang (Foeniculi Fructus, 2.5 qian) Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, honey-fried, 1 qian).
Crush the above herbs into a powder. For each dose, take 4 da qian, add 1.5 zhan of water, 3 slices of fresh Ginger (Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens), 10 leaves of Perilla Leaf (Perillae Folium), and a pinch of salt. Decoct until reduced to 0.7 portion, strain, and take before meals.
