The *Classic* states: "If the Sovereign is clear, the subordinates are at peace." Nourishing the Heart in this manner leads to longevity. The Heart is likened to a King, the master of the body; the ears, eyes, mouth, nose, and limbs are all directed by its command. The Heart is like the Great Monarch within the realm, while the Four Zang organs are like feudal lords in the four directions. When the governing principles are upheld, the world is at peace; this is a manifest truth. Various schools discuss tonification methods, some focusing on rescuing only one of the Four Zang organs without specifically tonifying the Heart. Long-term use may increase Qi pathologically. If one focuses exclusively on tonifying the Heart, there are benefits without drawbacks. Scanning medical texts, only Tianwang Buxin Dan bears the name of tonifying the Heart, but its ingredients are miscellaneous. It does not compare to this formula, which tonifies one organ while mutually nourishing the Five Zang. In this formula, only Fushen specifically tonifies the Heart; the other herbs tonify the Heart via the Four Zang organs, similar to how feudal lords offer tribute to the Son of Heaven. With Heart-tonification as the main principle of the remedy, if disease lies in other Zang organs, their respective tonifying agents are already present in the formula, allowing assistance from the Heart's essence and Qi, avoiding bias. Ultimately, if the Heart Monarch holds operational authority, harmony prevails in all directions, and the image of peace can be achieved effortlessly. Particularly ingenious is Xiangfu, which circulates through the Twelve Meridians and Eight Extraordinary Vessels, facilitating transport in the Qi level, preventing stagnation in one area and excess in another, and additionally benefiting the Six Fu organs.
