[Sanhuang Tang] Prescription for treating sudden abdominal pain and distension caused by the eruption of Cold Food Powder (Hanshi San):
Rhubarb Root (Radix et Rhizoma Rhei), Coptis Rhizome (Rhizoma Coptidis), Scutellaria Root (Radix Scutellariae) (each 3 liang).
The above three ingredients are coarsely crushed, decocted in 7 sheng of water to obtain 3 sheng, divided into three doses. (Another version makes pills.)
For cases where the eruption is accompanied by epidemic pathogenic heat and external pathogenic heat, presenting with bloody dysentery that does not cease and irritability, use the Huanglian Tang prescription:
Coptis Rhizome (Rhizoma Coptidis), Phellodendron Bark (Cortex Phellodendri Amurensis) (each 4 liang), Gardenia Fruit (Fructus Gardeniae) (15 fruits, broken open), Donkey-hide Gelatin (Colla Corii Asini) (1 liang, honey-fried), Dried Ginger (Rhizoma Zingiberis Officinalis Preparatum), White Peony Root (Radix Paeoniae Alba), Pomegranate Peel (Cortex Granati) (each 2 liang; one formula uses Immature Bitter Orange Fructus Aurantii Immaturus).
The above seven ingredients are coarsely crushed, decocted in 1 dou of water to obtain 3 sheng, divided into three doses (another version decocts in 6 sheng of water).
Prescription for headache, aversion to cold and fever, chest oppression, and evening exacerbation of limb pain caused by mineral drug eruption:
Raw Ophiopogon Tuber (Radix Ophiopogonis), Scallion White (Caulis Allii Fistulosi) (half jin, sliced), Fermented Soybean (Fermentatio Sojae Nigrae Preparata) (3 sheng).
The above three ingredients are decocted in 8 sheng of prepared water to obtain 3 sheng, divided into three doses.

Ophiopogon Tuber (Radix Ophiopogonis, heart removed), Scutellaria Root (Radix Scutellariae), Ginseng Root (Radix Ginseng) (each 2 liang), Bamboo Shavings (Caulis Bambusae in Taenia) (1 sheng), Jujube (Fructus Jujubae) (14 fruits, broken open), Spirit of Polygala Root (Radix Polygalae Sibiricae), Pinellia Tuber (Rhizoma Pinelliae Preparatum, washed), Fresh Ginger (Rhizoma Zingiberis Recens, sliced), Licorice Root (Radix Glycyrrhizae Preparatae, honey-fried) (each 3 liang), Cassia Twig (Ramulus Cinnamomi) (0.5 liang).
The above ten ingredients are coarsely crushed, decocted in 1 dou of water to obtain 3 sheng, divided into three doses.

The above four ingredients are coarsely crushed, decocted in 4 sheng of water. First decoct Gentian Root and Coptis Rhizome to obtain 2 sheng. Separately, soak the Cypress material in cold water, then add it to the decoction to mix well. Strain to obtain the juice. Hold the hot liquid in the mouth and spit it out when cool. Discontinue when healed.
Prescription for treating a sensation similar to strangury and heat due to eruption:
Abelmoschus Seed (Semen Abelmoschi), Poria (Sclerotium Poriae), Rhubarb (Radix et Rhizoma Rhei), Tetrapanax Pith (Medulla Tetrapanacis) (each 3 liang), Scallion White (Caulis Allii Fistulosi) (7 stalks), Angelica Sinensis Root (Radix Angelicae Sinensis), Pyrrosia Leaf (Folium Pyrrosiae), Mirabilite (Natrii Sulfas) (each 2 liang), Cassia Twig (Ramulus Cinnamomi) (1 liang).
The above nine ingredients are coarsely crushed. Decoct Abelmoschus Seed in 1 dou of water to obtain 6 sheng. Mix Fermented Soybean with vinegar, grind into a paste, apply to the sore, and change when dry. This method is very effective.
Eruption from Alum often presents as boils. Eruption from Purple Stone (likely referring to a specific mineral) often occurs on the abdomen, back, or limbs. Rubbing with animal butter (Su) cures it immediately. Still use the Qiji Tang prescription:
