The incantation states: I ascend to the Mount Tai Prefecture to pay respects to the Huang Lao Jun (Emperor Lord of Old), requesting him to expel ghosts. He instructs me to drive away demons and teaches me divine formulas. I call upon the Jade Maiden (Yunü) from above, gathering inauspiciousness; ascending the Left Contract of Heaven, wearing the seal; wearing a floral canopy on my head, stepping on Kuigang (a star or deity associated with martial power); calling the Six Jia (Jia Zi, Jia Xu, etc., heavenly stems/branches deities) on the left, calling the Six Ding (Ding Mao, Ding Hai, etc.) on the right; the Huang Shen (Imperial Deity) is before, and the Yue Zhang (Crossing Chapter) deity is behind. The Divine Master executes punishments, not avoiding the powerful; first beheading small ghosts, then killing Youguang (wandering light spirits). Which deity dares to stay? Which ghost dares to resist! If one ghost does not exit, behead it and deliver it to Kuigang. Act swiftly as if by law (Another version says: I ascended Mount Tai and met Dongwang Fu (Eastern King Father) on the way, who taught me how to kill ghosts and told me of divine prohibitions. The Emperor's son captures flying inauspiciousness, ascending the Left Contract of Heaven, wearing the seal, wearing a floral canopy, treading on Tiangang (Heavenly Gang star). First kill small ghosts, then kill Youguang. Which deity dares to stay? Which deity dares to resist? Bind your true body, boil your protective soup. Treat every three days, measure every five days. Mencheng (Gate Clerk) binds, Zaojun (Black General) presents memorials. I contain the Qi of Heaven and Earth, reciting the incantation to kill ghosts. Spitting at heaven splits it, spitting at earth cracks it, spitting at mountains collapses them, spitting at water dries it up, spitting at abscesses ruptures them, spitting at fire extinguishes it, spitting at evil drives it away, spitting at ghosts kills them. Act swiftly as if by law).
Furthermore, I am the Tian Shi Ji Jiu (Celestial Master Altar Priest), sent by Heaven and Earth. My body is adorned with hundreds of millions of Ganling (Dry Spirit) weapons, arranged before and behind me, lined up on left and right sides. Which deity dares to stay? Which ghost dares to resist? Righteous deities should remain, evil ghosts depart quickly. Act swiftly as if by law.
Furthermore, when Liu Jia (Six Jia) and Liu Yi (Six Yi) appear, evil ghosts exit spontaneously; when Liu Bing (Six Bing) and Liu Ding (Six Ding) appear, evil ghosts enter the underworld; when Liu Wu (Six Wu) and Liu Ji (Six Ji) appear, evil ghosts stop spontaneously; when Liu Geng (Six Geng) and Liu Xin (Six Xin) appear, evil ghosts distinguish themselves; when Liu Ren (Six Ren) and Liu Gui (Six Gui) appear, evil ghosts die spontaneously. Act swiftly as if by law.
Furthermore, the saliva of the Divine Master is severe as snow and frost. Saliva kills a hundred ghosts, not avoiding the powerful. It should emerge spontaneously from the ten fingers, emerging forward for enfeoffment, emerging backward for decapitation. Act swiftly as if by law. Recite the incantation seven times. First, recite over water and spray the patient. Then, recite to expel ghosts wishing to go east, and only then use the knife. If the illness does not improve, recite again until the hair on the tips of the patient's ten fingers stands up. When reciting for the patient, cover the patient's head with a single cloth alone, have two other people hold the ends of the cloth to block the front. The patient washes hands without drying them, joins palms in kneeling prayer (Hugu), and then recites the incantation.
