This condition is caused by Damp-Heat in the Large Intestine (Dampness and Heat pathogens accumulating in the large intestine). A mass suddenly protrudes from the anus, resembling a snake but not being one, capable of free entry and exit. Treatment should involve internal administration of resolving medicines and external application of topical powders. The prescription is as follows:
Angelicae Sinensis Radix (Danggui) and Paeoniae Radix Alba (Baishao), each 1 liang; Sanguisorbae Radix (Diyu), 5 qian; Raphani Semen (Laifuzi), 3 qian; Aurantii Fructus Immaturus (Zhiqiao), Arecae Semen (Binglang), and Rheum Palmatum (Dahuang), each 1 qian.
Decoct in water and take warm, one dose, before meals. For external use:
Auricularia Auricula-Judae (Muer), 1 liang.
Decoct to make juice for washing the area. After washing, apply:
Borneolum Syntheticum (Longnao), 1 fen.
Grind into powder and apply topically; the protruding mass will naturally retract, leading to recovery.
It is common for individuals to have two fleshy growths appearing in the eyes, each about one cun long and as thick as a incense stick, hanging outside the eye. Treatment uses:
Borneolum Syntheticum (Longnao), Coptidis Rhizoma (Huanglian), and Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Gancao), each 1 fen; Borax (Pengsha), 0.5 fen.
Grind each into fine powder until no sound is produced when rubbed. Mix with human milk and apply to the tips of the growths. The patient may feel the eyeball bulging out as if burning, which will recede within a moment, resulting in recovery. Subsequently, take:
Paeoniae Radix Alba (Baishao), 5 qian; Sinapis Albus (Baijiezi), Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma (Baizhu), and Poria (Fuling), each 3 qian; Gardeniae Fructus (Zhizi), stir-fried, 2 qian; Bupleuri Radix (Chaihu), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Gancao), and Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium (Chenpi), each 1 qian.
Decoct in water and take orally.
This syndrome is more prevalent in women, though men occasionally suffer from it. It is attributed to a malevolent dragon transforming its form and engaging in sexual intercourse with women. Rapid treatment is advisable for this disease.
The prescription is as follows:
Polyporus Umbellatus (Leiyuan), Rheum Palmatum (Dahuang), Alum (Baifan), Iron Rust (Tieyi), and Realgar (Xionghuang), each 3 qian.
Grind together into fine powder and form pills using jujube flesh. Take 3 qian with wine. After more than one shichen (two hours), material resembling a bowlful of semen will be discharged from the anus. The patient will then feel a sense of openness and relief in the chest.
Take another 3 qian; the scales will completely fall off, leading to recovery.
This occurs when snakes, while a person is sleeping, engage in generative interaction with the human body. A snake-shaped mark appears on the skin of the patient's hand, accompanied by unbearable pain. The treatment method involves first piercing the head of the mark with a sharp knife, followed by piercing the tail, causing blood like ink to flow out. Externally, apply powder of Angelicae Dahuricae Radix (Baizhi); recovery occurs after two applications.
This results from accidentally swallowing a centipede while eating raw vegetables, causing the centipede to grow above the stomach opening. Symptoms include a sensation of movement in the throat, worsened pain during expectoration. The entire body's skin cracks and exudes fluid; the eyes are red and swollen but painless; the feet are edematous but the patient can walk. Treatment uses:
One chicken.
Cook thoroughly with five spices until very tender. While the patient is asleep, place the chicken near their mouth. The centipede, attracted by the aroma, will naturally emerge. Capture it immediately, ensuring it does not re-enter the mouth. From one to several centipedes, all must emerge for recovery. Then, take:
Raw Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Sheng Gancao), Schizonepetae Spica (Jingjie), and Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium (Chenpi), each 1 qian; Paeoniae Radix Alba (Baishao), 5 qian; Angelicae Sinensis Radix (Danggui) and Astragali Radix (Huangqi), each 1 liang; Coicis Semen (Yiyiren) and Poria (Fuling), each 3 liang; Saposhnikoviae Radix (Fangfeng), 5 fen.
Decoct in water and take ten doses. The skin cracks will heal spontaneously, and foot edema will subside.
