[Discussion]
The disease of "Chuan Shi" (Transmitting Corpse) arises from the generation through mutual overcoming, with toxic vapors transmitting internally to the Five Viscera, gradually leading to extreme emaciation. Upon death, it transmits to one member of the family, hence the name "Chuan Shi". In its initial stage, if the patient lies half and sits half, it is named "Shi Zhu" (Corpse Tethering); if there is rapid breathing and coughing, it is named "Fei Wei" (Lung Withering); if there is heat in the bone marrow, it is named "Gu Zheng" (Bone Steaming); if it transmits internally to the Five Viscera, it is named "Fu Lian" (Successive Connection). If neglected until the lineage ends, regret comes too late. For instance, if a man contracts this disease due to deficiency and damage, the source begins from the Kidney. Initially affected by corpse qi, there is soreness and pain in both calves, stiffness and tension in the waist and spine, weakness in walking, reduced appetite, tinnitus, nocturnal emission, and sweating in the yin region. If the Kidney disease persists, it transmits to the Heart, resulting in palpitations, shortness of breath, dreams of deceased relatives, occasional night sweats, loss of taste in food and drink, mouth ulcers, drowsiness, redness of lips and cheeks, heat in the five centers (both palms, both soles, and chest), with symptoms lighter in the morning and heavier in the evening. If the Heart disease persists, it transmits to the Lung, resulting in chest fullness and coughing, rapid panting and dry mouth, weakness in the four limbs, withered and rough skin, fine scales like bran, or stinging pain like insects crawling, dry nose unable to smell fragrances or odors, or nausea upon smelling foul odors. If the Lung disease persists, it transmits to the Liver, resulting in a colorless complexion, frequent frowning while sitting, blurred vision unable to see far, dull and yellow eyes, or redness, dryness, and pain, desiring to close the eyes but unable to sleep. If the Liver disease persists, it transmits to the Spleen, resulting in empty distension in both hypochondria, indigestion, frequent thirst and diarrhea, abdominal pain and distension, dry and scorched lips and tongue, lusterless hair, rebellious qi and panting, and passage of red-black fluid in stool. Transmission reaching this point is incurable because the transmission through the Five Viscera is complete.
