Commentary states: The skin and intestines of infants are fragile. If clothing is not adjusted in time, wind pathogens easily invade the body. The wind pathogen lodges in the muscles and contends with the Stomach Meridian, resulting in "Stomach Wind" (Wei Feng). Its manifestations include abdominal distension that easily occurs, diarrhea after consuming cold food; clinical observation reveals a thin body with a distended abdomen. This is because the branch of the Foot-Yangming Stomach Meridian originates from the lower opening of the stomach, runs along the interior of the abdomen, and descends to the Qichong point (ST30); thus, when wind-cold enters the interior, it causes easy abdominal distension. Furthermore, the Stomach is the Sea of Water and Grain; upon encountering cold, food fails to digest, leading to a deficiency of Qi and Blood, hence the occurrence of diarrhea/dysentery and emaciation.
