Ji Feng (Severe Stroke) invading the human body is caused by toxic and fierce qi, which is not the normal state of heaven and earth's yin and yang circulation. Its symptoms include tightness and tension of tendons and vessels, stiffness and rigidity of the back and body, dark complexion, dry nose, locked jaw with inability to speak. Soon after, the wind pathogen invades the five zang organs, interacting with clear qi in the body, leading to high fever throughout the body, sweating like oil, fixed staring gaze, cyanosis of the lips, accumulation of phlegm and saliva, obstruction of the throat, and a sawing-like sound during breathing. Palpation of the pulses at both wrists: if the yin and yang pulses are both fine and slow, the prognosis is favorable; if the pulses are deep and faint or floating and rapid, it is difficult to treat.
