Discussion: In individuals with weak stomach qi, excessive consumption of alcohol, whose nature is pungent and hot, leads to thirst and increased drinking. When the airway becomes obstructed, both alcohol and water fail to transform and digest. They stagnate in the hypochondriac region, condensing into a mass disorder (Pi). The presentation involves palpable masses upon pressure or audible sounds upon percussion, hypochondriac tension, distension, and fullness, potentially causing pain and stifling sensation, emaciation, and anorexia. Since this condition arises solely from alcohol consumption, it is termed "Alcohol Pi" (Jiu Pi).
