Discourse: The disease of Wind Constipation (Feng Mi) arises from the obstruction and dryness of the Large Intestine, leading to difficulty in defecation. The Large Intestine is the Fu organ of the Lung, responsible for conducting water and grain and transmitting waste. If the San Jiao (Triple Burner) qi mechanism is disharmonious and Wind-Heat pathogens contend internally, it results in dryness of the stomach and intestines, deficiency and scarcity of body fluids, accumulation of fecal matter, and failure of transmission. This causes mental restlessness, abdominal fullness, and constipation. The treatment principle is to dispel wind and regulate qi, moistening and lubricating the stomach and intestines.
