Sugarcane peel is burned to ash, ground into fine powder, and blown into the affected area for efficacy. Alternatively, Evodiae Fructus (Wuzhuyu, 2 liang) is ground into powder, mixed with a small amount of flour and vinegar to form two cakes, which are applied to both soles of the feet (Yongquan acupoint) and bound tightly with cloth. Healing occurs overnight. (Also treats sore throat)
Dioscorea bulbifera (Biqi) is calcined (preserving its internal properties while charring the exterior), ground into fine powder, and applied to the affected area. Alternatively, Cold Food Noodle (Han Shi Mian, 5 qian) and Niter (Xiaoshi, 7 qian) are mixed with water; half a qian of this mixture is applied to the sole of the foot. For males, apply to the left foot; for females, to the right foot.
Tangle hair is burned to ash, mixed with lard, and applied. Alternatively, the condensed steam water collected from the lid of a steamer during rice cooking is applied, which is effective.
The white inner bark of new mulberry roots is crushed to extract natural juice for application. Dried mulberry root bark is decocted into a thick liquid for application, which is effective.
(Commonly known as Snow Mouth, also called Goose Mouth Thrush)
Kalimeris indica (Malantou) is crushed to extract juice; applying it yields miraculous results. Alternatively, Arecae Semen (Binglang) is scorched until dry, ground into powder, and dabbed onto the lesion for immediate effect.

Phellodendri Cortex (Huangbai) is soaked in Bamboo Sap (Kuzhuli), and the resulting liquid is dropped onto the affected area. Alternatively, Crotonis Fructus (Badou, half a grain) and rice (4-5 grains) are pounded together into a cake the size of a soybean, applied to the Yintang acupoint. If an infant refuses milk and cries, check if a single white blister has appeared on the tongue, named "Tongue Bamboo Shoot" (She Sun). If untreated, it leads to death. Urgently use fresh Rehmanniae Radix (Sheng Dihuang) to extract juice. If fresh rhizome is unavailable, soak dried Rehmanniae Radix (Shu Dihuang) in cool well water until soft, crush it, extract the juice, and apply to the affected area several times until gradual recovery.
