Tu Fuling (5 qian), Danggui (washed with wine), Baizhi, Zaojiaoci, Yiyiren (1 qian each), Baixianpi, Mugua (do not touch iron vessels), Mutong, Jinyinhua (7 fen each), Zhigancao (5 fen).
Decoct the above ingredients in water and take orally.
Jiuwei Qianghuo Tang: Treats wind-heat stagnation and obstruction, causing pain from sores and ulcers, or generalized body pain, or stiffness and difficulty in movement; also treats headache and aversion to cold.
Qianghuo, Fangfeng, Cangzhu (1.5 qian each), Chuanxiong, Baizhi, Shengdihuang, Huangqin (boiled until soft and sliced), Xixin, Gancao (1 qian each).
Decoct the above ingredients in water and take orally. Cover with clothing to induce a slight sweat. In years governed by damp earth, add Cangzhu; if there is excessive rain, also add Cangzhu. If thirsty, add Shigao 3 qian and Zhimu 1 qian; if not thirsty, do not add.
Jiawei Qianghuo San (This formula adds Jinyinhua and Lianqiao to the previous decoction).
Danggui Yinzi: Treats conditions caused by wind-damp injury, resulting in sores and scabies.
Danggui, Huangqi, Shaoyao, Jingjie Sui, Fangfeng, Jili, Heshouwu, Shengdihuang, Chuanxiong, Gancao (equal parts).
Decoct the above ingredients in water and take orally.
Heiwanzi (also known as Hexue Dingtong San): Treats injuries from falls and impacts, bone and tendon pain, blood stasis with swelling, or limb pain due to external wind-cold invasion; for wind flowing into the knees at the initial stage, taking this will cause it to resolve spontaneously; if qi deficiency and fever occur after ulceration, take it concurrently with tonifying agents to promote healing.
Baicaoshuang, Baishaoyao (1 liang each), Chixiaodou (1.5 liang), Chuanwu (processed, 3 qian), Bailian (1.6 liang), Baiji, Danggui (8 qian each), Nanting (soaked, 3 qian), Niuxi (roasted, 6 qian), Buguzhi (roasted, 8 qian).
Grind each ingredient separately into powder, mix with wine paste to form pills the size of tung tree seeds. Take 30 pills per dose, washed down with warm salt water or wine. Pregnant women should not take this.
Taiyi Gao: Treats all types of sores and ulcers; suitable for topical application. If vital qi is not depleted, apply moxibustion with garlic slices, and additionally take Xianfang Huoming Yin to ensure complete recovery.
Xuanshen, Baizhi, Danggui, Rougui, Dahuang, Chishaoyao, Shengdihuang (1 liang each).
Add 2 jin of sesame oil to a copper pot, boil the above ingredients until black, filter out the coarse dregs, add 12 liang of Huangdan, boil again, test consistency in water until medium firmness is achieved.
Lilv Gao: Treats all types of carbuncles and sores with protruding flesh, regardless of size or length. Use only Lilv ground into powder, mixed with raw pork fat, ground into a paste, applied to the affected area, changed weekly.
Treatment for hematochezia: Huanglian 4 liang, Wuzhuyu 4 liang. Stir-fry together in one pot, but grind separately. For bright red blood appearing before stool, mix Wuzhuyu powder with wine; for bright red blood appearing after stool, mix Huanglian powder with wine. For those with depleted vital qi, add tonifying herbs for efficacy. Mix these two ingredients with hot water to moisten, stew in boiling water for half a day to harmonize their properties, then stir-fry until slightly scorched. Pick out the scorched parts for use; this is excellent. This is the method for processing Wuzhuyu and Huanglian.
Huangfan Wan: Treats carbuncles caused by metals and stones, and all types of sores and ulcers; detoxifies and relieves pain.
Mingfan (1 liang), Huangla (5 qian).
Melt the wax and mix with fan powder, stir quickly and evenly, roll into pills the size of tung tree seeds. Take 10 pills per dose, gradually increasing to 20 pills, taken with boiling water. For toxicity from ingesting metals and stones attacking internally, higher doses are effective. For snake bites, melt and drip onto the wound; pain stops and toxin exits, still consume about 2 liang.
Danggui Gao: Treats back carbuncles, abscesses, scalds, and burns; removes necrotic tissue and promotes new tissue growth. For tissue not yet necrotic, self-healing occurs. For already ulcerated tissue, new tissue grows easily; apply until tissue color turns white, ensuring toxin elimination and fastest tissue regeneration. For dry, cracked external skin causing pain even in healthy tissue, self-healing occurs without scab formation, avoiding pain from scab removal; this has miraculous effects. Huangla primarily promotes tissue regeneration and pain relief, nourishes blood and reconnects tendons; its sweet and warm nature makes it compatible with new tissue and not a harsh toxic drug. This formula has been published by me; recent practitioners often use it.
Chuan Danggui (1 liang), Mazhongyou (authentic, 4 liang), Huaiqing Shengdihuang (1 liang), Huangla (1 liang; if using white wax, use only 5 qian).
First, fry Danggui and Dihuang in oil until black, filter out dregs, add wax and melt, stir when warm to form the ointment. Apply to the affected area, cover with paper. Especially effective for back carbuncles, abscesses, scalds, and burns with ulceration. When dead tissue is fully removed but some healthy tissue remains, cut away with a sharp knife, as dead tissue is toxic and delaying removal harms new tissue. Prepare the ointment in advance for cleaning and changing dressings. If dead tissue is fully removed, apply immediately, as new tissue is highly sensitive to wind; do not neglect this.
Juanbi Xiaodu San: Treats epidemic sores and joint/tendon spasms.
Jianghuang, Tufuling, Duhuo (5 qian each), Baizhu, Danggui (1.5 qian each), Chishaoyao (1 qian), Baizhi (5 fen).
Decoct the above ingredients in water and take orally.
