For cases of deficiency and seminal emission during dreams following typhoid fever, the cause is pathogenic heat invading the Kidney, leading to a deficiency of Yin Qi. When Yin Qi is deficient, it results in dreams of sexual intercourse. The Kidney governs essence; when the Kidney is deficient and unable to secure the essence, emission occurs during dreams.
To treat deficiency following typhoid fever, accompanied by urgency and tightness in the lower abdomen, stiffness and pain in the waist and back, nocturnal seminal emission during dreams, and emaciation of the four limbs, Baishao Yao San (White Peony Powder) is suitable.
Baishao Yao (Radix Paeoniae Alba), Guixin (Cortex Cinnamomi), Baizhu (Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae), Renshen (Radix Ginseng, radix removed), Baifuling (Poria), Wujia Pi (Cortex Acanthopanacis Senticosi) (each 1 liang); Ganjiang (Rhizoma Zingiberis Recens, 3 fen, processed until cracked and chopped); Gancao (Radix Glycyrrhizae, 0.5 liang, honey-fried until slightly red and chopped).
Crush the above herbs into a coarse powder. Take 4 qian per dose, with one zhong zhan of water, add 0.5 fen of Shengjiang (Rhizoma Zingiberis Recens) and 3 dates, decoct until 6 fen remains, strain, and take warm before meals.
To treat deficiency following typhoid fever, with nocturnal seminal emission during dreams, dizziness and headache, and weak and thin limbs, Longgu San (Dragon Bone Powder) is suitable.

Crush the above herbs into a coarse powder. Take 5 qian per dose, with one da zhan of water, add 0.5 fen of Shengjiang (Rhizoma Zingiberis Recens) and 3 dates, decoct until 5 fen remains, strain, and take warm before meals.
To treat deficiency following typhoid fever, insufficiency of Kidney Qi, and nocturnal seminal emission during dreams, Xuncao San (Herba Pogostemonis Powder) is suitable.
Xuncao (Herba Pogostemonis), Longgu (Os Draconis, 2 liang), Shugan Dihuang (Radix Rehmanniae Preparata, 2 liang), Baizhu (Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae, 3 fen), Renshen (Radix Ginseng, radix removed), Fushen (Poria cum Radice), Guixin (Cortex Cinnamomi), Gancao (Radix Glycyrrhizae, honey-fried until slightly red and chopped), Baishao Yao (Radix Paeoniae Alba) (each 3 fen).
Sift the above herbs into a fine powder. Take 5 qian per dose, with one da zhan of water and 3 dates, decoct until 5 fen remains, strain, and take warm before meals.
To treat deficiency and damage of Kidney Qi following typhoid fever, nocturnal seminal emission during dreams, dry mouth, irritability, blackening of the cheeks, and dry skin, this formula is suitable.
Longgu (Os Draconis, 1 liang), Baishao Yao (Radix Paeoniae Alba, 3 fen), Renshen (Radix Ginseng, radix removed, 3 fen), Shugan Dihuang (Radix Rehmanniae Preparata, 3 fen), Baifuling (Poria, 3 fen), Guixin (Cortex Cinnamomi, remove red juice).

Grind the above herbs into a fine powder, mix evenly with the Tusizi powder. Before meals, take 2 qian mixed with warm wine.
To treat deficiency and damage of the Kidney following typhoid fever, nocturnal seminal emission during dreams, and post-void dribbling, Jiu Zi San (Chinese Chive Seed Powder) is suitable.

To treat deficiency following typhoid fever, turbid urine like rice washings, post-void dribbling, and nocturnal seminal emission during dreams, all caused by Kidney deficiency, Lurong Wan (Deer Horn Pill) is suitable.
Lurong (Cornu Cervi Pantotrichum, 1 liang, coated with butter, lightly roasted, hair removed), Tusizi (Semen Cuscutae, 2 liang, soaked in wine for three days, dried, and separately pounded into powder), Jiu Zi (Semen Allii Tuberosi, 1.5 liang, lightly stir-fried), Zexie (Rhizoma Alismatis), Bajie (Radix Morindae Officinalis, 1 liang, heart removed).
Grind the above herbs into powder, mix with refined honey, pound 200-300 times, and form pills the size of paulownia seeds. Take 30 pills with warm wine, on an empty stomach and before evening meal.
