Transverse presentation refers to a situation where, upon the initial sensation of abdominal pain before the time of delivery has arrived, fright and disturbance cause premature labor. The fetus shifts position without the mother's awareness, leading her to exert force prematurely, resulting in a transverse fetal position. Alternatively, it may be caused by violating taboos, leading to inverted presentation, failure of the placenta (Baoyi) to expel, severe injury preventing expulsion, or postpartum residual conditions such as incessant sweating, persistent irritability and fullness, shortness of breath, and rebellious fullness.
Beimu Wan Formula:
Beimu (Fritillariae Bulbus, roasted until slightly yellow), Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, honey-fried until slightly red and chopped), Qinjiao (Zanthoxyli Pericarpium, removing the eyes and closed ones, lightly stir-fried to remove moisture), Ganjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma, processed until cracked and chopped), Guixin (Cinnamomi Cortex), Jingmi (Oryzae Fructus Germinatus), Mahren (Cannabis Semen).
The above ingredients are crushed, sieved into powder, and mixed with jujube pulp to form pills the size of a bullet. Take one pill dissolved in warm wine at any time.
Formula for treating inverted presentation, dead fetus in utero, retained placenta, and impending collapse of maternal qi:
Banxia (Pinelliae Rhizoma, one liang, washed seven times with hot water to remove slipperiness, then dried by baking), Bailian (Ampelopsis Radix, one liang).
The above ingredients are finely crushed and sieved into a powder. Take two qian, mixed with stir-fried fresh ginger and wine; effect is immediate.
Formula for treating transverse presentation, failure of expulsion, dead fetus in utero, imminent birth but failure to deliver, blood and qi rushing to the heart, pale complexion, and impending collapse of qi:
Refined suet (Lard), Baimi (Apis Mellifera Honey, one he), Chunjiu (Strong Wine, one zhong zhan).
Mix the above ingredients and boil for five to seven boils. Divide into two doses and take warm.
Method for treating inverted presentation with hands or feet presenting first:
Apply cow urine to the mother's abdomen; delivery will proceed smoothly immediately.
Another formula:
Take one egg from each of three different families, one qian of salt from each of three different families, and one large zhan of water from each of three different families. Add one large zhan of water, decoct until reduced to six parts. Strain and divide into two doses to take warm.

Kuizi (Abutilonis Semen, two he), Huangming Jiao (Colla Corii Asini, one liang, fried until yellow and charred), Huashi (Talcum, one liang, powdered).
Add one and a half large zhan of water, decoct until reduced to one large zhan. Strain and divide into three doses to take warm.
Method for Inverted Presentation:
