Carbuncle (Yong) arises from cold pathogenic qi invading the muscles, causing blood and qi to stagnate and accumulate, thereby forming a carbuncle. After a carbuncle ulcerates, the prognosis can be favorable or unfavorable. If the whites of the eyes appear blue-black, the voice is hoarse, there is incessant drinking, and the pulse is obstructed, these are signs of an unfavorable prognosis.
