Wang Fengfu recorded that his father, Yu Yu, found this prescription (Lu Wang Jiu) highly effective when taken throughout his life.

He Shou Wu (Polygoni Multiflori Radix Praeparata) (The variety from Xijing is particularly good; soak in rice washing water overnight, scrape off the skin with a bamboo knife, slice, and dry by roasting; dosage: one jin). Do not allow these herbs to come into contact with copper or iron vessels. Pound and sieve them into powder, mix with refined honey to form pills, then pound again in a wooden mortar for one thousand strikes. Shape into pills the size of paulownia seeds. Take forty to fifty pills daily on an empty stomach with warm wine. Avoid mutton blood, raw green onions, radishes, and lotus roots. Do not drink alcohol; take with rice. This yields miraculous effects.

Soak Ding Gong Teng (Cissampeli Caulis) in wine and consume it. The *History of the Southern Dynasties* records: A disciple of Xie Shuqian had a mother who was ill. He consulted physicians and herbal texts but found no record. Eventually, in the mountains of Yidu, he saw an old man chopping wood, who said it was Ding Gong Teng, capable of treating wind disorders. The disciple wept and obtained the herb, learning the method of soaking it in wine. Afterward, the old man disappeared, and the mother's illness was cured.
