砂（各一两） 京墨（三钱） 片脑（一钱半） 麝香（少许）
上为细末，用猪胆汁调匀，摊在碗内，甑上蒸三次，露一宿，后入脑麝硼砂为丸，如豆
大，每服一丸，食后噙化。冬加知母。一方有甘草。
治中外诸热，寝汗切牙，睡语惊悸，溺血淋闭，咳衄血，瘦弱，头痛并骨蒸，肺 喘嗽，
去大黄加栀子，名曰栀子金花丸，又名既济解毒丸。

治心经积热，风痰壅滞，头目赤肿，或有疮疖，咽膈不利，大小便闭涩，一切风热之证，
并宜服之。

治上焦壅热，口干咽痛，烦躁涎潮。

上为细末，炼蜜为丸，每两作四十丸，每服一丸，食后温薄荷人参汤下。
治膈热，解酒毒，浓肠胃。
黄连（半斤净，用酒二升浸，以瓦器置甑上，累蒸至烂，取出晒干）
上为细末，滴水为丸，如梧桐子大，每服五十丸，食前用温水送下。
Rhizoma et Rhizoma Coptidis, Cortex Phellodendri, Radix Scutellariae (each 2.5 liang), Bulbus Dioscoreae Hypoglaucae, Bulbus Dioscorea Polystachyae (each 1.5 liang), Cortex Phellodendri, Radix Sophorae Tonkinensis, Radix Sophorae Tonkinensis (Note: Shan Dou Gen is usually Sophora tonkinensis or Indigofera, here translated as Radix Sophorae Tonkinensis or consistent with local usage, WHO term: Radix Sophorae Tonkinensis / Radix Indigoferae), Borax (each 1 liang), Jingmo (Beijing Ink, 3 qian), Borneolum Syntheticum (1.5 qian), Moschus (a small amount).
The above ingredients are ground into a fine powder, mixed evenly with Pig Gallbladder Juice, spread in a bowl, steamed over a steamer three times, and exposed to the air overnight. Then, add Borneolum Syntheticum, Moschus, and Borax, and form pills the size of beans. Take one pill per dose, holding it in the mouth to dissolve after meals. In winter, add Radix Anemarrhenae. Another version includes Radix Glycyrrhizae.
Treats various internal and external heat syndromes, night sweats with teeth grinding, somniloquy and palpitations upon waking, hematuria and stranguria with obstruction, coughing up blood or epistaxis, emaciation, headache, bone-steaming fever, pulmonary asthma and cough. Remove Rhizoma Rhei and add Fructus Gardeniae; this is named Zhi Zi Jin Hua Wan (Gardenia Golden Flower Pill), also known as Ji Ji Jie Du Wan (Ji Ji Detoxification Pill).

Treats accumulated heat in the Heart Meridian, stagnation of wind-phlegm, redness and swelling of the head and eyes, sores and boils, discomfort in the throat and diaphragm, constipation and dysuria, and all wind-heat syndromes; it is suitable for taking these formulas.
Rhizoma Rhei (raw use), Radix Scutellariae (each 2 liang), Semen Kochiae (raw use), Talcum (each 4 liang), Radix Coptidis, Folium Menthae Haplocalycis, Rhizoma Chuanxiong (each 0.5 liang).
The above ingredients are ground into a fine powder, water-pelleted to the size of Sophora seeds. Take 50 pills per dose, washed down with warm water after meals.
Treats upper jiao congestion-heat, dry mouth and sore throat, irritability, and excessive salivation.
Calculus Bovis, Borneolum Syntheticum, Moschus (each 1 fen), Helmi Quartzum (0.5 liang, ground and floated), Natrii Sulfas Crystallisatus, Stilbitum, Gypsum Fibrosum (each 2 liang), Rhizoma Arisaematis cum Bile Bubali (3 fen), Radix Glycyrrhizae (1 liang, slightly roasted).
The above ingredients are ground into a fine powder, honey-pelleted. Each liang of powder makes 40 pills. Take one pill per dose, washed down with warm Mint and Codonopsis Decoction after meals.
Treats diaphragm heat, resolves alcohol toxicity, and thickens the intestines and stomach.
Radix Coptidis (8 liang purified, soaked in 2 sheng of wine, placed in a clay vessel on a steamer, repeatedly steamed until soft, taken out and dried).
