Feilong Duoming Dan (Flying Dragon Snatching Life Pill)
Xionghuang (Realgar, 3 qian) Zhusha (Cinnabar, 2 qian, used as coating) Qingfen (Calomel, 5 fen) Xuexie (Dragon's Blood, 1 qian) Ruxiang (Frankincense, 2 qian) Moyao (Myrrh, 2 qian) Tonglv (Chalcanthite, 2 qian each) Danfan (Alum, 1 qian) Shexiang (Musk, 5 fen) Hanshuishi (Calcitum, 1 qian) Woniu (Snail, 21 pieces) Wugong (Centipede, 1 piece, soaked in wine, roasted until yellow, head and feet removed) Chansu (Toad Venom, 2 qian, dried boiled, dissolved in good wine)
Grind the above ingredients into fine powder. First, crush the snails with their shells, mix with the other medicines, and form pills the size of mung beans. If the pills do not hold shape, add flour paste made with wine to form them. Coat with Zhusha (Cinnabar). Take two pills per dose. First, have the patient chew three cun long scallion whites thoroughly, spit into the palm of the left hand for men or right hand for women, wrap the pill inside the scallion, and swallow with hot wine free of ash. Stay in a windless place, cover the body with clothing. Walk about five to seven li. Then drink several cups of hot wine to boost the medicinal power. The goal is to induce sweating. At the initial stage of the disease, two pills will eliminate it. If sweat does not come out and the condition is severe, take another two pills; once sweating occurs, it will resolve. For severe cases lasting three to five days, take two more pills to recover. If the Ding sore spreads to the heart (Zouhuang), it is difficult to treat. Cold sweating also indicates a difficult prognosis. If the patient cannot chew scallions, crushing them is acceptable. For sores on the upper body, take after meals; for sores on the lower body, take before meals. After taking the medicine, avoid cold water, Wanggua (Trichosanthes cucumeroides), eggplant, pork, chicken, fish, meat, wet noodles, and all foods that trigger wind or sores. Corrected by multiple parties without error.
